Accidentally Met with My President

Chapter 2

"What, what status?" Alicia asked in a daze.

"Weren't you intending to marry into the Watts family before? Andrew betrayed you, but you can be my wife." Sean took Alicia's phone, saved his number, dialed it, and then put the phone by the bedside.

He stood up, heading for the door.

"We'll get the marriage papers tomorrow," Sean declared.

Watching him disappear at the doorway and listening to the closing sound of the living room's door, Alicia felt the sudden shift in her life's rhythm.

How should she face what was coming?

Stepping out of the hotel, it was already past two in the afternoon. Watching the passing pedestrians, she had no idea where to go.

Suddenly, she noticed an LED outdoor screen not far away. The screen was rebroadcasting a comprehensive report on the engagement of Andrew from the N&S Empire. The names of Andrew and Lexie were prominently displayed at the bottom of the screen.

Alicia gritted her teeth in hatred, but also felt a trace of sorrow. In such a short span of time, everything had changed. She was supposed to be the lead in that engagement but aided by the incidents of last night, it was Andrew's elder brother, a man whom no woman in Melnyfield could get close to, who had blatantly taken away something very precious to her in her most unguarded moment and even dared to say he was going to marry her.

Alicia felt it quite absurd and felt like she was being mocked by destiny.

She flagged a taxi intending to go home. She was exhausted and needed to rest.

Davies family villa:

As soon as Alicia opened the door and entered, she heard laughter erupting from the living room.

"Andrew, you must treat Lexie well in the future. Look at today's scene, isn't it beautiful?” Lucy Nicholson said in a sort of wicked tone.

"Auntie, Andrew genuinely loves me, you can rest assured," Lexie said like a smitten girl, leaning into Andrew's side.

"Good, Mrs. Watts, I'll be following you to share the blessings from now on," said Lucy, who started to change her address, expressing her submission.

Just as Lexie was about to talk, she saw Alicia coming in from the door, and the smile on her face disappeared instantly.

Lucy, along with Bradley and Andrew, also saw Alicia.

"I'm back." Alicia knew well about the atmosphere in the living room at this time. She was exhausted due to the betrayal of the scum man and woman, plus last night's accident, she didn't want to blend into that atmosphere. She simply greeted them and was thinking about going upstairs to rest.

Seeing that Alicia was about to go upstairs, Lucy immediately stood up. She looked at Alicia with a disgustingly appalled appearance, shouting, "Stop it! Aren't you even able to show some manners as a daughter of the Davies family?"

Facing Lucy's tone, Alicia was already used to it. She turned her head back and looked at Lucy, "I've just greeted you all.”

"Is this called a greeting? Didn't you see that there are guests at home? Don't you worry about not greeting them?" Lucy glared at Alicia fiercely, drawing an urge to slap Alicia in her eyes.

"Oh, auntie, don't push her anymore. Look at her miserable appearance, she must be heartbroken. Andrew is mine now, whereas she has nothing left," Lexie said arrogantly. Her eyes of contempt glanced at Alicia.

"Lexie, you..." Face to face with Lexie's sarcasm, Alicia failed to say anything harsh.

Yes, Alicia admitted that she was not as shrewd and scheming as Lexie, let alone have Lexie's fearless means to deal with people.

"What?" Lexie also lost her temper, she stood up, pointed at Alicia, and cursed, "Alicia, you'd better get out of this house as soon as possible. This belongs to me."

"Lexie, this is Davies family mansion, my last name is Davies. Do not forget your own surname." Alicia finally couldn't stand it anymore. Lexie was already living in her own house but now she dared to try to kick her out. What right did she have to force her out?

"Alicia, watch your attitude." Andrew suddenly uttered a statement.

At this, Alicia was stunned and her gaze fell on Andrew, a hint of disappointment flowed from his heart.

Usually, when he came home, he would smile at her and the people in the house. He was Mr. Watts, so neither her father nor Lucy would show any surprise no matter what happened. But now, Andrew's attitude stunned her deeply.

"Alicia, do you really think just because your last name is Davies, you can live here?" Lucy said in a sarcastic tone, "Let me tell you, just three days ago, your dad transferred the ownership of this house to my name."

Alicia looked unbelievingly at Bradley Davies, who had been silent all along. She shook her head continuously, unable to believe it.

"Dad, you said this house was bought by you and Mom after much hard work. How could you give it to...", tears poured out uncontrollably from Alicia's eyes.

"That's enough," Bradley completely disregarded his daughter's feelings. Influenced by Lucy and Lexie's usual opinions, he also found his daughter to be a disgrace to high society. "Your mother has been dead for so many years, your aunt has been part of this family for quite a while too. What's wrong with giving her a house?"

"Hmph," Lucy hummed discontentedly, showing disdain by crossing her arms and looking towards the balcony.

Alicia's tears didn't stop as she looked at the four faces in the living room. Could she continue to live in this home?

In the future, even if she had to face Lucy and Lexie's constant sarcasm, it wouldn't matter as long as Andrew was there. But now, she had nothing to rely on...

Wait...

Alicia suddenly thought of Sean, the one who took her virginity without her consent. He had said he would legitimize their relationship and they would collect the marriage certificate tomorrow.

She seemed to have a lifeline, something resembling a sanctuary.

As a conservative girl, since he took her virginity, marrying him wouldn't be too bad.

Alicia took a deep breath and said to Bradley, "Dad, since none of you can tolerate me, I guess I have to get married."

"Getting married?" Lexie looked at Alicia in disbelief. "Are you kidding? Andrew is mine now, who would you marry? Who in their right mind would want to marry someone like you?"

"Lexie, keep a hold on your man. I don't need you to worry about my business." The thought of Sean gave Alicia some confidence. In her mind, Sean was much better than Andrew. With him by her side, she felt her future life would certainly be better than Lexie's.

"You...” Words failed Lexie.

"That man can't be a good one." Andrew said with a scoff, "I must have been blind to have seen something in Alicia. She has no style, no virtues to her, and now, there's actually a man willing to marry her. Pigs might fly."
