The Imprint of Love From the Ice-Cold Boss

Chapter 2

Listening to her father's voice, Xia Qianqian just scoffed, "Rebel? How dare I..."

"If you dare not, come back to me!" Xia Cangsheng roared ferociously over the phone, his voice filled with heartache.

Xia Qianqian couldn't bear it, but she bit her lip forcefully and cruelly said, "Impossible!" As soon as the words fell, she abruptly hung up Xia Cangsheng's call, yet tears poured out like overflowing flood, dripping down.

The taxi driver shook his head, asking with some sympathy, "Little miss, where to?"

Wiping her tears, Xia Qianqian thought for a moment and looked around blankly, "Go to Shuiwan."

"Shuiwan?" The driver looked at Xia Qianqian incredulously and asked in surprise.

"What, you have never seen someone wearing Chanel going to Shuiwan?" Xia Qianqian glared and showed her temper.

From the moment she planned to leave the Xia family, she needed to constantly remind herself that she was no longer a noblewoman. She would start from the bottom and create a beautiful life with her own hands.

She...

While thinking, the smile on her face grew bitter.

The taxi arrived at Shuiwan slum, Xia Qianqian paid the fare and found an empty loft in the management office to rent.

Looking at the dilapidated loft, which faintly smelled of mildew, she suppressed her dislike. She rolled up her sleeves and cleaned up the room.

She stuck a beautiful photo on the white wall, staring at it blankly, her eyes filled with subtle sadness.

The girl in the photo was like an angel, a ray of warm sunshine. Thinking of her, Xia Qianqian's lips gently curled up, but her eyes were filled with waves of emotion.

She tightly held her bag, shut the door behind her, and walked under the loft. The darkness was dense as she stamped her foot; the light sensor didn’t respond. She walked towards the iron gate with a bit of fear.

Just as she was about to open the door, a faint sound of footsteps suddenly came.

Frightened, she turned and asked, "Who is it... um..."

A large sack was drawn over her head, and Xia Qianqian struggled, crying out, "Let go of me..."

However, the person didn't respond, just skillfully hoisted her onto his shoulder, threatening coldly, "If you move again, I'll throw you into the sea!"

Sure enough...

Xia Qianqian clamped her mouth shut, no longer uttering a sound. The boundless darkness was like a large hand slowly approaching her, and she was filled with fear.

Thud...

A man in a black suit roughly hurled the sack onto the backseat of the car. A hard slap struck the back of her head, and her vision went black as she slipped into unconsciousness.

Their vehicle left the run-down neighborhood of Shuwan and headed straight for the coastal road, heading for the suburbs. However, it stopped on the charming avenue of a lavish manor.

The man carried Xia Qianqian from the rear seat and walked straight into the mansion.

A man elegantly smoking a cigarette sat cross-legged on a leather sofa, wearing an Armani suit. His sharp features exuded a strong, cold dominance. He glanced sideways at Xia Qianqian, who was still bound in the sack, flicked the ash from his cigarette, and looked at his assistant, Ahn. The latter, understanding, nodded.

Walking over to the man, he said, "Come with me!"

"Yes!" The man respectfully bowed and followed Ahn to a large room on the second floor. After the man opened the sack, Ahn confirmed it was indeed Xia Qianqian, brought her to a large bed, and handed the man a check, coldly stating, "Not a word about this matter to anyone."
