GAEL’S P.O.V

 “I will let it pass. I don’t want Lady Suzy to be stressed out about it. After all, he didn’t succeed, and that’s important. She gives me compassion when I’m trembling. She reminds me of… eh? Who is that again?”

She went blank, and I saw how she tried to remember everything, but she was not getting anywhere. I sigh.

“Don’t try to force yourself. Just be yourself and you’ll be fine. Your memories will come back when you want to.” She smiled and nodded. Suzy moaned and watched at her.

“You are awake, thank goodness. Don’t worry, I already chatted with Tyler. We will move into Gael’s mansion next week. I will bring you with me. If you stay here, I’m afraid you’ll be in trouble.” She smiled and nodded.

“Thank you, Lady Suzy.” 

I admit that I saw and noticed that she was not half of what I expected. She is gentle and seems to be caring, especially to Suzy.

She smiled at her truly and showed gentleness when she was looking at her. I know that she’s not faking any of it.

“I’ll go ahead then. Hon, you have to watch her. I saw Tyrone’s face. He might do it again. Just call me just in case, okay?” She smiled and nodded.

[Hey, that girl, be careful.] I sigh. My inner wolf suddenly shared its thoughts.

“Because of what?” I look at the road and focus on driving.

[Don’t tell me you didn’t feel anything when she drank your blood? I felt something and I can’t explain why.]

“She’s not that bad. She seems to be fragile, and I knew you saw that.” I stop the car when a red light appears.

[I know, but what I’m wary of is her identity. She will never be in that situation for nothing.] That’s true.

“I know. Don’t worry, I am not letting my guard down.” 

 “I hope she’s already finished packing.” She didn’t answer.

Suzy said she craves an ice cream cake and they’re out of stock for baking. That’s why I presented myself to buy some before we left their house. She comes along and buys the house some groceries. She’ll be coming with us.  

“Are you okay?” She looked at me.

“Yes, I just feel like… I don’t know, Sir. I feel like something is off.” I heard her voice and felt the pain.

“S-Suzy!” I run towards the mansion and jump off to the second floor.

I heard another gunshot. Even if the killer uses a silencer, our ears are keen and we--I kick the door. My eyes widened. She’s lying on the floor holding her wound on her abdomen. I grab her body.

“H-hon.” I held her tight.

“Who did this to you?!” She looked at me.

“She’s wearing a mask, but she’s a woman…” I saw the bullet caps. It’s made of silver. Fuck!

“No! Suzy, no!” We heard a commotion outside.

“Stop!” Then a loud bang is heard in the garden. I can smell the fire from her. She appeared.

“No! No! Lady Suzy~!” She tried to heal her using magic, but she was shot several times. Her tears are falling.

“Listen to me, you two.” We look at her.

“Reject me and mark her. You can’t die because of me… seek justice for my death, Gael.” We’re surprised.

“No. I don’t want to. I’ll die with you.” She also shook her head.

“No. Listen to me!” I look at her.

“I, Suzy Willis, reject you as my mate, Gael Haverford.” She shook her head and held Suzy’s hand.

“I… G-Gael Haverford is r-reject you as my m-mate S-Suzy Willis…” Tears are falling on both of our cheeks. Our tattoos disappear into thin air.

“Mark her.” She steps back.

“Please…?” She looks at her and closes her eyes. We mark each other and let her watch this moment. She smiled bitterly. Fuck! Why have things become like this?!

“Find the killer for me. Haven… promise me that you will make him smile.” She held her hand.

“Please, Lady Suzy, don’t be like this. Don’t scare me this way,” she cried. Suzy smile.

“I know that you are still having a hard time living here. But please… Be strong and keep your promise. Don’t fail me, Haven…” she mumbled. She closed her eyes.

“What did you do to Suzy?!”

Tyler comes in and gives us a death glare. I knew he saw that I mark Haven, whom he wanted. He dashes towards us.

HAVEN’S P.O.V

Tyler grabs his shirt and punches him. He suddenly twisted in pain. The rejection between them starts to cost him unbearable pain.

He was about to target his heart. I held his wrist and push him away. I did it too much that she has even thrown it out on the wall.

“You bitch!” He is about t attack us when I created a barrier.

I look at him and the body of Lady Suzy. He keeps on punching the barrier. He will succeed if I won’t decide.

“Sir Gael! What should I do?!” He is twisting in pain.

“Argh! Agh!” He screamed.

The barrier cracks. He will target him again. I grab him and even Lady Suzy’s body. I groan in pain. My back.

He grabs the couch. I close my eyes and held them tightly. “Help me!”

[I heard you silly.]

My eyes widened. I stood up and grab the other side of the couch and use it as a bat and threw it off him. He flies off the other side. Who is that voice?!

She looks at them. I grab his hand and lady Suzy. I close my eyes and think about his house. When I open my eyes, were in front of his mansion.

I cut my hand and pour my blood. No one can enter without my permission.

“Sir alpha!” Four wolves come out and they’re running towards us. Their eyes turn yellow and they look at me.

“It’s not me!”

“What did you do to them?!”

That man will show that he’s ready to attack me. But they saw and smell the alpha’s mark on me. They look at Lady Suzy’s body.

“She… she’s no longer our Luna. What the hell is happening here?!” She glared at me. I kneel and felt weak. What is happening to me?

“It’s hot… what is wrong with me…?” My palm turns into a fist as I felt this unexplained heat. What is this?!

[It’s because you are marked. It’s your body’s reaction or arousal.] That voice again!

“Who are you?! Whom are you talking to?!” I fell, facing the ground. I feel hot and my throat is a little dry.

[I’m your inner wolf. I can’t remember anything as well, but I butt in when you needed my help and decide to show myself to you.]

“Inner wolf? What is that? Agh!” I breathe deep and take off my coat. This heat.

“S-Suzy!” I saw him crawling toward her. I raise my hand and use levitation to move her body towards him.

“Lady Suzy…” I want to hold her, either.

[You have to be worried about yourself. You need him to settle down the heat or else you’ll die. It’s a part of the marking of a mate.]

“No. No. I can take this. Agh!” I twisted in pain. Then I heard their voices again.

“Haven…. Haven! Come back!”

I held my ears and tried to remember those blurry faces, but the heat and pain is scorching through every part of my body.

“I-I’m sorry…” I passed out.

“Lady Suzy!”

I arose to bed and remember what happened. Scented candle and flowers?! I open the window and jump off. I saw the garden and the group of wolves. They’re looking at her. They’re ready to burn her body.

They created a place where they can burn her, and it was decorated with flowers. Her parents and Tyler were here. I ran towards them. I jump off over these people and landed beside her body.

“You! You said you’re ready to give your life to her!” her mom was pointing her finger at me.

“You must be the mastermind behind this and ask her to reject our alpha.” I didn’t listen to her parent’s rants.

“You better stay away from my sister’s body!”

Tyler is about to grab me when I raise my hand and use the air. I throw him off the other wolves. I held her hand and tears fall on my cheeks.

“Lady Suzy. I promise I will find the culprit. I will keep my promise. Goodbye.”

I kiss her forehead, and tears fell on my cheeks. All of a sudden they threw woods on me. It is from her family. Even her mom does the same thing. I didn’t care.

“I will kill you! Since you came here, my daughter’s life was filled with misfortunes! You must be the jinx!” she screamed.

“Who even are you, huh?! I think you were thrown away because you bring misfortunes!” that girl says.

“I think we should all burn her!” she suggested.
