*Unknown POV*

The woman stood at the sink peeling potatoes, humming to herself, tonight was their wedding anniversary, she hoped that he was in a good mood tonight. She had dressed herself in a lemon coloured dress and she had done her hair the way he liked it. She heard the sound of her husband pulling into the driveway and her happy mood crumbled. She dropped the peeler and grabbed a tea towel to clean her hands as she backed away from the window. She watched in horror as he stumbled out of his pickup truck, she realised he was drunk again. She ran upstairs and hid from him. Holding her breath. She heard his keys in the door and then he laughed to himself as he screeched. "Honey, I'm home!"

The mans shadow climbed the walls. Beer cans cluncked and rolled across the floor as the man kicked them out of the way. He took a swig from a bottle and staggered. "Where are you? I need my dinner." He continued to stagger as he tossed the contents of the coffee table onto the floor. "Wifey! I need you!" He half yelled, half slurred. He continued to throw things around the living room. He picked up a framed picture of them on their wedding day. A maniacal chuckle escaped his lips before he threw the photo yelling "Useless women!"

The women sat cowering in her bedroom closet with her hand clamped over her mouth, trying to remain quiet, lest he find her. She clasped her locket in her shaking hand, it was the last thing her mother had given her before she had gotten married, and she prayed that her husband would soon pass out. She heard his heavy footsteps on the stairs and she let out a small, scared little gasp. The sound of his footsteps entering room, followed by the sound of a chair being picked up and being thrown against the wall, and breaking made the women flinch.

Her slight movement, however knocked over a pair of shoes. The women already had desperate tears running down her face and her adrenaline made her sight more keen as she seen through the gap in the closet doors. He had heard the noise of the shoes and turned towards the closet. He spat on the floor before he threw his bottle against the wall shattering it into pieces. He picked up one of the pieces off of the floor before he came charging towards the closet, bursting the doors open. "I found you!"

The smell of made her dry retch but it was the look in his eyes that made her scream....
