When I say, I like someone who has the same vibes as mine. A person who can go with the flow with me. Who can be serious, but at the same time be gullible. A person who loves to study a lot, and who can be patient with me. A person who loves his family, and puts God in the center of his heart. A person who will care for me, cuddle with me. Whisper in my ear goodnight's, good morning and i love you's. Give me a forehead kiss. Dance with me in the middle of the rain.
Protect me. Will love me, and will not judge for who I am.
I'm talking about my ideal type of man.
I know this type of man doesn't exist in the real world, or if he does........they are very rare.
But I know someday, I will meet that person.
Maybe he is somewhere down the road.
Or he is leaving next to our house.
Or maybe, he is leaving far from our country.
Or, our paths already crossed but we didn't notice each other.
Maybe......he is also waiting for me.
Who knows? Only destiny knows when we will meet. Where are we going to see each other?
But someday, I'm sure I'm going to meet him.
The person who will be there during my ups and downs. The person who I am going to share my laughs and cries. A person will comfort me if I'm having an anxiety attack. A person….will I call my home.
At the right time and place, our lives will cross.
My man....my dream man......
My cup of tea.
However.......
"Leila! I think I saw Isaiah a while ago," Nessie approached me right after she got out from Starbucks.
"Thank you," when she handed me my order, "are you sure it's him? I mean, he rarely goes here," I shrugged as I sipped on my frappe.
Nessie gently slapped my right arm, "Of course! I'm sure it's him!" She looked around as if she was trying to find someone, "but, I'm not sure why he is here though."
"Maybe he has some errands to do. Just forget it," I said and started walking away.
The two of us were walking while holding our drinks on one of our hands. We are having some serious talks about work, since we are have the same nature of workplace. We are actually on the same company.
I was busy sipping on my frappe as I was scrolling on my phone, when I accidentally bumped into a person. It was too late for me to notice that there is a person in front of me already, and it was also too late for Nessie to pull me back.
"I'm so so----"
"Hey miss, I'm sorry."
I blinked multiple times as I was looking at the person in front of me. He is smiling at me showing his dimples on his right cheek. He is only wearing a white collared top, khaki shorts and a air of Balenciaga shoes but he is very handsome!
It's him.......we meet again.
Our lives crossed again after soooooo many years! I thought I will never get the chance to see and be with him, after that incident.
"Isaiah!"
I looked over my shoulder and saw Nessie running towards me. Just like me, she is also happy and shock at the same time that we get to meet our dearest friend.
Isaiah looked at Nessie and his forehead furrowed, "Excuse me miss, do I know you?"
I was taken aback, and even Nessie was shocked when this guy in front of us spoke, as if he didn't know us.
"Y-you don't remember us?" Nessie asked the same question running inside my head.
I heard his awkward chuckle, "I'm sorry, I don't."
No one spoke after that. I didn't know what to say, and I doubt that Nessie will say anything either.
"Look, I had a car accident last year and I had retrograde amnesia. I tend to forget the memories that happened before the accident."
