The room was dimly lit, and the figures on the bed were shimmering. Lingering moans, subtly hinting at intimacy, echoed faintly from within.
The woman clung onto his shoulders, biting her lips, her body wavering between pain and pleasure. The man held her waist tightly, his voice husky, "Are you lost in your thoughts?"
The woman blinked gently and looked up to meet his angry gaze. Was he mad? What was he mad about?
"Are you thinking about another man while you're in my bed?"
The woman didn't quite understand why he was angry. She hesitated for a moment before replying, "No."
The man didn't believe her. He bit her shoulder hard.
"If I find out you're thinking about some other man while with me, I'll bite you to death piece by piece!"
The woman winced, letting out a soft moan of pain. The man's actions, however, became gentle once more, "Remember this moment with me."
Before she could recover, a new wave of movement began. Her soft moans intertwined with his heavy breaths, transforming into a rhythmic symphony...
At Shen's mansion in Yun City, the day was filled with festive lights and celebration. It was the wedding day of the eldest daughter of the Shen family, Shen Jiayin, and Ji Zehao, the only son of the Ji family. Luxury cars lined up outside the Shen mansion, creating quite a bustle.
At her dressing table, a beautiful woman dressed in a white gown was gently arranging the pearl flowers in her hair. She seemed indifferent, the excitement expected from a bride-to-be entirely absent from her features. It looked as if she was merely fulfilling a task.
The clock on the wall read quarter past ten. The time to meet the groom was quickly approaching, but no one had come to call her out yet. The Shen mansion was quiet, devoid of the joy associated with a wedding.
Shen Jiayin got up, turning in front of the mirror. The elegant swishing of her dress gave her the appearance of a noble snow lotus, emanating a scent of cool and serene elegance.
Today was her wedding day. Soon, she wouldn't be the young mistress of the Shen family anymore, but the daughter-in-law of the Ji family.
Her fiancé, Ji Zehao, is an outstanding and handsome young man well-known in Yun city. With his pure character, he treats her with respect and kindness on all occasions. Their life together seems to be nothing short of perfect, yet she feels eerily calm, with no ripples of excitement nor sparks of joy.
Soon, a servant came to help her with her dress, informing her that her fiancé was already downstairs.
Shen Jiayin didn't linger, picking up her skirt, and headed out.
As she descended the staircase, she heard her sister, Shen Jiaxue, voice filled with grievance echoing from the living room, "Father, mother, Zehao and I have been together for some time now. He doesn't love my sister. Why are you forcing him?"
As Shen Jiayin paused slightly, the servant looked at her anxiously, unsure whether to warn the people downstairs. Shen Jiayin merely waved her hand, indicating that she should remain silent.
Today is indeed a great day. How could she interrupt such a fascinating story before her wedding?
"Shut up, no one asked you!"
Her father, Shen Ting, stood in the living room staring at her fiancé, Ji Zehao, with a cold expression. "Tell me clearly, what exactly is going on?" he demanded.
Ji Zehao pursed his lips and simply said, "Uncle, I'm sorry, but I cannot go through with this wedding."
Shen Ting was fuming, shaking with anger but unable to utter a word.
His own son was having an affair with their younger daughter while being engaged to the elder one. The elders of Ji's family lost face due to this scandal. They had to just endure the embarrassment and keep apologizing, "It's Zehao's fault. Jiaxue is young and was obviously misguided by him. Their relationship must be an impulsive act. The wedding will proceed as planned. As for Ji family, it isn't his place to decide."
Ji Zehao opened his mouth, but he didn't dare contradict his father.
Ji's father added, "Indeed, this is Zehao's fault, but in-laws, today is a day of celebration. Shall we discuss this matter after the wedding?"
Shen Jiaxue panicked. If this goes on, wouldn't today's drama be in vain? With that thought, she pinched Ji Zehao harshly.
"Uncle, I have already promised Jiaxue. I cannot go through with this wedding."
After much effort, Mr. Ji managed to settle down the other party's emotions just before Ji Zehao reignited the situation with his words, making Shen Ting's face instantly as dark as a pot's bottom.
"Why can't we get married?"
Finally breaking her silence, Shen Jiayin, who had been enjoying the drama, asked Ji Zehao.
He had not expected to hear Shen Jiayin's voice, and for a moment, paused, lifting his eyes to look at her.
At that moment, Shen Jiayin was standing upright at the top of the stairs, in an elegant white gown. She delicately strode down the stairs, continuing until she reached Ji Zehao, only stopping then to look down at him, saying calmly, "You haven't changed into your formal attire yet."
She walked past him, lightly grasping his right hand. Ji Zehao was taken aback; he hadn't expected this typically cool woman to so warmly take his hand. As he was stunned, Shen Jiayin suddenly choked up and said,
"Zehao."
Ji Zehao snapped out of his stupor and forcibly pulled his hand from hers, his throat bobbing as he whispered, "Jiayin, I'm sorry."
Shen Jiayin's hand stiffened slightly in the air before she calmly withdrew it, her gaze slightly downcast. A faint smile brushed her lips as her voice suddenly turned cold, "Sorry for what?"
Sorry for falling for your sister? Cancel the wedding? Ji Zehao couldn't get the words out.
"Sis, don't blame Zehao, it's all my fault. If I wasn't pregnant, Zehao wouldn't have..."
The air suddenly grew quiet as Shen Jiayin finally looked at Shen Jiayin's face and then back at Ji Zehao, her voice steady as she asked, "Is what she said true?"
As soon as the words were spoken, the room erupted into noise, not only from Shen Ting's couple but also the faces of the Ji family turned grim.
No one expected the two young people to have reached such a step, and for the illustrious families, this was too disgraceful. Shen Ting's face turned ugly on the spot.
The parents of the Ji family also kept a straight face, looking at Ji Zehao in disappointment.
Everyone remained silent, as if they were waiting for Shen Jiayin to speak up, as if waiting for her to make a decision.
Shen Jiayin suddenly laughed. It turns out she was bearing such a huge responsibility.
With red eyes, Shen Jiayue looked at Shen Jiayin, who had a poker face, and whispered, "I have no reason to joke about this."
Shen Jiayin swept a glance at her and said indifferently, "How long?"
Although there was no emotion, Shen Jiayue instinctively felt ice cold. She endeavored to meet Shen Jiayin's icy gaze and choked, "Sis, you clearly know that Ze Hao doesn't love you, yet why do you want to marry him? I have been with him for over a year. Your eyes only contain your career, you would not care about his feelings at all. I have been caring for him in your stead all along. No one understands better than me what he wants. Since you don't love him at all, why can't you let him be mine?"
After listening, Shen Jiayin merely smiled. "So this is your excuse to seduce my fiancé. It doesn't really matter if you've slept with him. If my fiancé has biological needs, and my sister is so willing to offer herself, I have no objections. You can abort the child. If you don't want to, you can give birth and hand it over to me. I'll treat it as my own and will not treat it unfairly."
Shen Jiayue was dumbfounded. She had never expected that Shen Jiayin's heart could be so big. Even Shen Ting, who was used to storms, was dumfounded by Shen Jiayin's words, unable to recover for a long time.
Ji Ze Hao was even more shocked, after a while, he finally said, "Jia Yin, what nonsense are you talking about?"
