I woke up today feeling refreshed I don’t know why but I have a feeling that today is a good day, I get out of bed take a shower and get ready for work as usual then go to the dining room to have my breakfast which is prepared by my nanny Stacey she has worked for my family all her life and helped raise me and my sister too I am too fond of her and can’t imagine my life without her so I bought her with me to my condo when I decided to move out from my parents house hey you must be wondering who am I right? Well I am Cara Cassandra Colton the eldest daughter of the Colton family and the heiress of the business my family is well known here in New York and all over the U.S we own a lot of luxury hotels all over the world but our headquarters is here at New York I have officially taken over the business from my father three years ago and in those three years I have opened two new hotels of my own and have doubled the profits from our previous ones nevertheless my parents are very proud of me and even I am proud of myself my grandfather used to tell my dad that a daughter can never run a business as big as ours and he should think about giving birth to a son who can take over the company but after my youngest sister was born my mother wasn’t able to conceive again after waiting for a few years with no grandson my grandfather insisted that my father should leave us and remarry so that he can have a son but my father refused he loves my mother and his daughters too much to listen to my grandfather’s demands my grandfather was very angry his behavior with my mother and his granddaughters became very rude as well he started taunting my mother, my sisters and me on everything that we did not only that but also started to invite beautiful ladies at our house and flirt with my dad in front of my mom and us my father became furious and from there on wards my father started teaching me how to do business he used to take me to his office after school every day so that I can learn how everything is done my father is an awesome businessman he taught me everything he knew he used to bring me with him on business trips and important meetings so that I can learn everything there is about business he never said anything to my grandfather on his face but he wanted to prove him wrong when I take his place and handle the business because of this I never had a loving childhood my childhood was spent in business meetings and offices when girls my age were doing sleepovers and going to parties I had no friends as well but my parents, sisters and Stacey loved me very much Stacey was the only one who was against me going to office with my father always but since she was a servant she cannot say anything to the master, my mother also felt that it was too much for me but she was so disheartened that she cannot give a son to dad that she didn’t interfere in this as well it wasn't her fault she tried five times but couldn't succeed and I didn’t say anything as well because I wanted to prove to my grandfather that a daughter can be as good as a son. Stacey brings my breakfast and keeps it in front of me “here you go sweetie I made your favorite blueberry pancakes today “she smiled at me “thanks Stacey “I smiled back I finished my breakfast and went to the office to start my day. When I entered my cabin my personal assistant Jennifer was already standing there with my morning coffee and her notepad “hi miss Colton” she said with a smile “hi Jenny” I smiled back Jennifer is my one and only friend I met her in collage and we instantly gelled although I have a very reserved personality Jennifer somehow was able to melt it she understands me like no other and that is why I offered her the job of my P.A when I took over the company she comes from a modest family and have done some non satisfying jobs throughout collage when she heard my offer she refused saying that she does not want to take advantage of me but I am a business woman I told her she can only keep her job if she is good at it and I will not be partial she agreed at the end because even working for me for a short time will be enough to secure for a long time. “Tell me my schedule for the day” I asked while sipping my coffee “You have a meeting with the new suppliers at 10 O’clock, at noon you are meeting Mr. and Mrs. Dominique to finalize the dates of the show …..She told me my schedule and I listened finally she stopped and I looked up “That’s it” “yeah and you have to attend the party of grandfather Colton at 8 O’clock” oh no how can I forget “Did you order the dress I asked you too” “Yes it will arrive at 10 at your house I have already informed Stacey about it” “Good you may leave” she left and I resumed my work already becoming nervous because of the party tonight.
