Walking into a lavishly decadent club private room, Sharon realized that there were no colorful balloons, no cakes, no candles as she had imagined. The dim light shone on her slightly pale face, making her look like a scared little bunny ready to be caught.
A cold sweat trickled from her palm, and after pausing for a few seconds, she suddenly turned around and started walking out.
Today was her boyfriend Lucas's birthday. He had asked her to come here to celebrate, but why couldn't she find the slightest festive ambiance? Instead, the oppressive atmosphere made her feel suffocated.
She couldn't continue to stay in this place. She needed to find Lucas as soon as possible. Was he playing some kind of joke on her? It was infuriating...
Just as she was about to touch the gilded door handle, she suddenly heard faint noises from outside. The sound of footsteps, metallic and steady, approaching her from afar, stepped right into her heart.
Sharon panicked. She pulled back her hand that was midair as if being electrocuted, hoveringly gazing at the door after retreating a few steps….
With a "click..." the turning sound of the door handle echoed.
Sharon's temples pulsed, and her heartstrings were tight.
The door opened, and a tall and slender silhouette appeared in her sight. Along with the ambiguous lighting, she made out a deep and elegant unfamiliar face, a custom-tailored suit perfectly outlining the man's ideal figure. However, at this moment, a chilly atmosphere was emanating from him.
"Bring a woman here, now!" He lightly held a cell phone between his slender fingers, his lips tightly pressed, and his eyes were unusually cold.
Sharon's heartbeat intensified. She stepped back instinctively but didn't notice the table corner behind her. The set of limited-edition blue and white porcelain teacups on the table trembled lightly, and the soft clinking sound seemed extraordinarily crisp in the large private room.
"Who is that?" Hanging up the phone, the man's eyes shot sharply like an arrow.
His cold stare sent shivers down Sharon's spine. Nervously, she quickly corrected the teacup that had toppled over on the table and stuttered an explanation, "S...Sorry, sir, I... I've come to the wrong place..."
After uttering a few words, she tried to leave as soon as possible, but the man was standing at the entrance, under his suit, a black shirt was worn with the top two buttons undone, revealing bronze-colored skin, and completely untamed hair.
He was watching her, with that kind of burning, a beast observing its prey, an 'unsatisfied desire' kind of gaze, looking at her.
"You...don't you recognize me?" He slightly lifted his jaw, his brows and eyes shrouded with an ethereal yet radiant spark, much akin to a drunken fox. His cold, pursed lips indicated his tolerance was nearing its limit.
"I...I've never met you before. Today is my boyfriend's birthday. He may have... may have gotten the room number wrong. Please forgive me!" This unfamiliar situation and strange man-made Sharon's nerves highly strung.
She lightly looked downwards. Her low-cut white blouse struggled to conceal her cleavage, causing an odd surge of heat to well up in Ethan's body. His eyes seemed to kindle two flames of subdued fire involuntarily.
He suddenly recollected the words from the male artist of Star Entertainment Company at the wine feast earlier, "Mr. Black, I've prepared a surprise for you in your private room. Guaranteed clean and delicious..."
So, this woman is the "clean and delicious" surprise?
So it was Ethan who had spiked his brandy. Very well, he has the guts.
"What's your boyfriend's name?" Ethan squinted his amber eyes as a wave of clouded fury surged within.
Sharon hesitated. She was about to blurt out but thought of the promise she made to Lucas to protect his career and to never make their relationship public, so she swallowed her words.
"Excuse me, I'm sincerely sorry for my rash behavior. I apologize." She subtly tried to change the subject.
The private room fell silent, the only sound was the intimate mingling of their breaths, blending seamlessly in the quiet.
Unable to bear his powerful aura any longer, Sharon carefully started retreating backward, "Then... I won't bother you..."
Her legs had turned rigid. When she, staggering, managed to open the main door and finally breathed in the fresh air outside...
"Ah!"
A strong hand firmly grabbed onto Sharon. Her right wrist was harshly gripped. Before she could react, the main door closed again. A strong force pummeled her against the wall beside the door.
Bang! Ethan ruthlessly pressed onto her.
Sharon's small figure was trapped between the wall and his chest, his heavy breath inch by inch scorching her face.
"Your boyfriend... Lucas, is it?" His dull voice vaguely spread out, the breath teasingly sprayed onto Sharon's sensitive earlobes, and she shuddered abruptly, a faint layer of goosebumps appearing on her body.
"How do you know?" She and Lucas had been secretly in love for three years, and almost no one knew about their relationship. How could this stranger possibly know so clearly?
Sharon stared round-eyed in shock.
Ethan's slightly furrowed, handsome brows gradually smoothed out, his adam's apple rolled unbearably, suddenly lowering his head, he seized her soft lips, sweeping over each inch of skin inside, strong and domineering!
