"Miss Anderson, we don't suggest you perform the fourth surgery since you have already done three abortions before. Please have a good discussion with your husband on this pregnancy and if possible, do deliver this baby."
When Elodie Anderson was back from the hospital, she was still pondering on the doctor's words along the way.
She parked her car in the small garden of the villa at around ten in the evening. The housekeeper came out immediately and looked at her with an indescribable expression.
A sense of panic started to creep over, subconsciously, she clutched the bag in her hand.
"Is he... coming back tonight?" she asked uncertainly and hesitantly.
The housekeeper nodded and replied carefully, "Yeah, he has been waiting for you for quite long..."
Elodie took a deep breath, instantly, she pulled her sleeve down to hide the drip needle on her arm.
Indeed, she had been pregnant for two months.
Back to her first pregnancy, she was so excited and eager to share this happiness with her husband of three years of marriage. She thought that it would be a turning point in their relationship. Never did she think that he would be so mean to send her to the hospital for an abortion.
Later, the same thing happened again during her second pregnancy.
So, when it came to her third pregnancy, she went for an abortion secretly.
Due to the fact that previous abortions had terribly harmed her body, plus the current fetal growth was very unstable, the doctor disagreed with her upcoming abortion.
Therefore, she came up with a bold plan. She planned to deliver the baby without her husband's permission.
Elodie was perturbed when she opened the door, she then forced a smile and said, "You're back..."
That man who was sitting on the sofa, though with handsome features, had his cold and ruthless stare held on her.
"Are you pregnant?" that was the only sentence he said to her.
In a swift moment, Elodie's face turned pale and she denied, "No, I... I am not!"
Abraham Harris raised his eyes and cast a sharp glance at her, "Lying!"
He detected her clumsy lies so easily after just a glance.
Then, he stood up and tried to get closer to her with his tall and rigid figure, "I'll give you two choices. Go and abort it yourself, or I'll send someone to help you."
Elodie recalled her previous pregnancy experiences, where she was forced to go for an abortion and she resisted so badly. However, this man sent his two bodyguards to force her to the hospital in front of the public for the surgery.
Ever since then, she had become a laughing stock to everyone.
Everyone in the city knew that Elodie, who was the eldest daughter in the Anderson Family, had snatched her own sister's lover without the slightest feeling of guilt. After marriage, she was retaliated by her husband, who forced her to abort her pregnancy repeatedly and left her with no family status.
Elodie took a step back and held her abdomen, "Abraham, I agree to divorce, you can go ahead with Alexia and I will give support to you guys. But, I beg you, don't force me to abort my child."
Alexia Anderson was Elodie's half-sister, who was also Abraham's favorite woman.
Back then, after the engagement of Abraham and Alexia, she had disappeared mysteriously and no one had seen her after that.
Abraham, on the other hand, hated Elodie even more.
He looked at her indifferently, "Do you think I will allow a b*tch like you to keep my child?" the words were blurted out callously.
Elodie shook her body as she was shocked and didn't expect him to be so vicious.
Abraham withdrew his gaze and walked to the door, "If I don't get any news about your abortion by tomorrow, don't blame me for making you a joke of the whole city again."
After that, he left.
Elodie was left alone in the room and she buried her face with her hands. At that moment, her tears started to stream down uncontrollably.
Again, she felt the pain coming from her abdomen. The doctor had admonished her to always stay calm, otherwise, it would harm her fetus.
She quickly took a deep breath to calm herself.
No matter what, she had decided to keep the child this time.
Since Abraham was so mean to her, she would rather leave this place and go somewhere to have her baby delivered.
Elodie grabbed her handbag when she thought of this, then she left without packing her luggage.
"Miss Anderson, it's so late now. Where are you going?" The housekeeper was running out to ask.
Elodie didn't answer. She scurried to get into her car and started the engine, then drove away.
She wanted to leave together with her baby...
Soon, the car had left the villa and headed to another district.
However, when she was passing by a traffic junction, a car suddenly appeared and bumped into her car.
She was hit hard by the inertia and a sharp pain spring up from her lower abdomen.
Elodie took a few deep breaths to alleviate her pain, then she got down from her car and went to check on the car that had been hit.
The car window was opened, and the person in the driver's seat was actually her sister, Alexia, who had disappeared for three years.
