"Miss Luo, your sister and your husband were in a car accident while they were... flirting in the car. They're at the hospital now, could you please come here?"
When Luo Enxi received the call, she had just taken down her saline drip and stepped out of the hospital room. Thinking it was a prank, she hung up immediately.
Suddenly, there were hurried footsteps echoing in the corridor. A few nurses were anxiously pushing a stretcher towards her.
Luo Enxi quickly stepped to the side, her gaze unintentionally falling on the dark men's suit draped over the injured woman's bare shoulders—
It was the one Fu Haochen had worn when he left this morning.
She would recognize that suit anywhere; the style, the color, she had chosen it for him herself. It belonged to her husband.
An ominous premonition suddenly welled up inside her, and she involuntarily met the injured woman's gaze. Luo Enxi's eyes went wide in shock.
"Sis?" She exclaimed in disbelief.
One of the nurses pushing the stretcher noticed her, stopped, and looked at her. "Hello, are you a family member?"
Luo Enxi quickly nodded, her heart shaking violently. "Yes... yes, she's my sister!"
"The patient seems to have gotten into a car accident while... flirting. If you're a family member, please stay here. Her boyfriend is getting treated and will be here soon..."
"Boyfriend..." Luo Enxi frowned, digesting these words. Since when did her sister have a boyfriend?
"Yes, oh, there he is now..." The nurse's eyes lit up, pointing behind Luo Enxi.
The sound of black leather shoes tapping on the floor echoed down the hall.
A tall and slender figure appeared at the end of the corridor. The white shirt accentuated his long legs, and the handsome facial features were too familiar for Luo Enxi.
Luo Enxi's feet seemed to be rooted to the ground, as if shocked by an electric jolt, she stared blankly at the approaching figure.
The boyfriend of her sister Luo Xirou, the one the nurse was talking about, was no other than her own husband of three years—Fu Haochen.
At this moment, Fu Haochen had already approached her, one hand in his trouser pocket, casting a disparaging look at her, "Luo Enxi? What brings you here?"
"Shouldn't I be the one asking you that?" Luo Enxi clenched her fists, her eyes firmly fixed on him, word by word she retorted.
In her mind, the phrase 'her sister's boyfriend' kept circling around, linked to the accident caused by the... car activities.
"As you can see, your sister and I were sent to the hospital together." Fu Haochen looked down at her from a superior position, hand casually pointing to a wound on his forehead that had been treated.
Luo Enxi felt a sharp pain in her heart, as if it was bleeding!
"The nurse said you two were injured in an accident because... during your car... activities?" She bit her lower lip, even she herself didn't know how she managed to ask the entire question.
One was her dearest sister, the other her husband she'd loved for years... both were hurt and rushed to the hospital due to their car activities. And she, like a fool kept in the dark, had even naively thought that the phone call was a hoax.
"Yes." Fu Haochen answered without a trace of guilt.
Luo Enxi felt like her heart was stabbed with a knife.
Late one night, suffering from a high fever, she called Fu Haochen but he didn't pick up, she sent text messages which were ignored.
She consoled herself thinking that he must be too busy with work to respond, hence ended up alone in the hospital getting a saline drip—
But turns out, he wasn’t busy with work, he was occupied making love to her sister in the car!
"Fu Haochen, I may overlook your philandering with random women and models that keeps popping up in the gossip news. But, that's my sister! How could you do this?"
Luo Enxi gave a self-deprecating smile, not willing to believe the truth, she questioned the man.
On the back of her pale hand, a needle mark left by the saline drip was bleeding, unbeknownst to Luo Enxi who felt no pain.
Because, the pain in her heart was even greater...
She could have never imagined that her husband of three years would cheat on her with her own sister, betraying their marriage—
