Villa A City.
Nangong BieZhi was staring blankly at someone claiming to be the butler from the Nangong family before her, blinking her large, harmless eyes. Even though her surroundings were simple, her innate demeanor and breathtakingly delicate face still managed to astound people silently.
"So, you're saying you want me to marry in her place?"
Nangong BieZhi gently opened her red lips, her voice filled with youthful naivety and confusion. Liu Ma, who had always been taking care of her, looked a little off color and lowered her head slightly.
"Yes, Miss, I have already booked the tickets. We will depart in one hour."
The butler smiled lightly. His voice was free from any traces of distaste or condescension. He was certainly a product of a great family. Unfortunately, his hidden discomfort didn't escape Nangong BieZhi's sharp gaze.
Nangong BieZhi pursed her lips tightly. She could feel a surge of irritation welling up within her.
How ridiculous! When she was three, her mother died. After her father remarried, he sent her to this rural villa and ignored her ever since. Now, out of the blue, he claimed that there was a groom from a great family and asked her to marry him as a substitute for her so-called sister.
She snorted inwardly, how great can the groom's side be if they were willing to accept a substitute? Did they take her for a fool?
"But I've heard that the eldest son of the Qin family has been disfigured, he's paralyzed and can only sit on a wheelchair and be served." She looked up at the butler, a somewhat worried expression on her face.
The color on the Butler's face changed slightly upon hearing her words, he lowered his head a bit, and his tone became more forceful.
"This is the old master's decision, Miss, it's better not to make things difficult for me. Backing down a bit, are you really willing to spend your life in this rural place? The conditions at the Qin family are 10,000 times better than here. So what if he's disfigured and paralyzed? They have lots of servants, you won't be needed to serve him."
He thought Nangong BieZhi was just a child, this scare-and-coax tactic was the most appropriate.
And Nangong BieZhi fell for it.
She subconsciously bit her lip and a look of difficulty showed on her face. She pondered for a while.
"Alright, I'll go with you."
Nangong BieZhi hooked her lips, a light flashing in her almond eyes as she sweetly smiled and said.
"That's more like it!" The steward finally nodded in satisfaction. Such a sensible child, what a shame... she was going to be wasted.
However, Nangong BieZhi didn't see it that way. Since the Nangong family insisted on using her as a human shield, they shouldn't blame her for being impolite! Besides, even if the Nangong family didn’t send anyone to her today, she would have looked for them, because…
Airport.
Nangong BieZhi was casually walking with the steward. In her palm, was a cellphone she had just sneaked from the steward's pocket. "I would like to go to the restroom."
She spoke in a crisp voice and then walked straight toward the restroom.
However, as soon as she stepped into the restroom, her arm was yanked harshly, causing her to stumble into a very wide embrace, and she was pushed into a stall.
Nangong BieZhi tensed up, her delicate eyebrows furrowed immediately. Before she saw who it was, she heard a hurried breath and a low male voice near her ear.
"Keep your mouth shut if you want to walk out of here alive," a knife immediately pressed against Nangong BieZhi's waist.
The man coldly scanned Nangong BieZhi. When he saw her eyes, which were still calm despite the panic, he squinted.
Nangong BieZhi felt the hard object against her waist and smelled a strong scent of blood in the air. She hurriedly raised her head to look into the man's eyes. Before she could open her mouth, she heard a fierce voice coming from behind the door.
"Damn it! Chase him! The boss gave us five million, we must kill him! He's injured at the waist, he can't get far, search every stall in the restroom!"
Nangong BieZhi's heart tightened, she quickly scanned the man in front of her. Seeing the striking fresh blood on his waist made her heart pound even harder.
"What are you..." Her eyes almost whispered as they widened.
"Mmph..." However, before she could finish speaking, her mouth was forcefully covered by a hand.
"Don't speak, just scream for me!"
The man's menacing and threatening tone, his eyes narrowing into dangerous slits, made breathing almost a struggle.
"Eh?" Nangong Biechi was startled.
"Aah!"
Immediately after, she felt the man's large hand tighten around her waist, and she involuntarily let out a loud cry. Her face instantly turned red as understanding dawned upon her. He wanted her to scream!
That kind of scream could help him evade the assassins lurking outside!
"Not loud enough, scream louder!"
"I can't."
She dropped her gaze and angrily muttered this sentence.
"You can’t? I’ll teach you."
Sporting a sarcastic smirk, he grabbed Nanong Biechi's chin without a word and kissed her passionately. His rough hands continuously roving over her body.
"Scream or I’ll kill you!"
Nangong Biechi's eyes widened in shock. As anger surged within her, she felt the cold touch of metal against her waist and had no choice but to comply with his demand.
She really didn't know how to, but her voice was raw and embarrassed, carrying a hint of masochistic flavour, which was surprisingly captivating.
Finally, a scornful chuckle echoed from outside the door, followed by the sound of receding footsteps.
Meanwhile, Nangong Bie Zhi was released at that moment, gasping for air, not noticing that the man in front of her had a hint of lingering affection in his eyes as he watched her.
"Not bad, not bad. You might even sound melting if properly trained..." The man arched an eyebrow, a telling reaction stirring within him.
"Hiss..." He took in a deep breath, his clear-mindedness forcing him to suppress the overwhelming desire surging from within him.
"Si Que Er, I'll remember. But I can't take you with me today. Three days from now, at three o'clock in the afternoon, under the landmark of Shang Lin Central Square, I'll be waiting for you."
He seemed to have procured an airline ticket, then glanced at Nangong Bie Zhi's name from the pavilion, exposing a mischievously lopsided grin, and said,
"If you don't show, you'll surely regret it." Before Nangong Bie Zhi could utter a word, he seemed to have seen through her.
