“If this goes on, she’s gonna die! She’s your fiancée, for God’s sake!”

The doctor was drenched in sweat, pleading anxiously.

Next to him, the man stood still, handsome face cold like marble. He stared at the pale woman on the bed, the look in his eyes colder than ice.

“Let her die. A woman like that doesn’t deserve to be my wife.”

It hurt. Badly.

Wait… what was going on?

Hold up—wasn’t she killed in an ambush during a mission? Betrayed by her own men?

That explosion should've blown her to pieces. So why could she still feel pain?

Slowly, Fiona Carter opened her eyes. Everything was blurry, and a few white coats moved in and out of view.

Was she... in a hospital?

But before she could figure it out, a sharp pain tore through her skull, and out of nowhere, a flood of memories that weren’t hers rushed in, nearly splitting her apart.

When it finally stopped, the truth clicked into place—she had died, no doubt about it. But now she was in the body of this girl, who oddly enough, was also called Fiona Carter.

And the guy standing in front of her? That was her so-called fiancé, Ethan Reynolds. Today was supposed to be their wedding day. Except, out of nowhere, her “best friend” Lydia Collins had crashed the ceremony, crying she was having his baby, saying they were in love, begging the bride to back off. Then she faked being shoved and landed herself in the hospital.

Turns out this “best friend” had a super rare blood type—and just so happened, the original Fiona shared it.

So what did Ethan do? Dragged Fiona here by force to donate blood to the woman he supposedly loved.

As this memory hit her, Ethan’s voice cut in, colder than ever.

“She’s a cunning liar with no heart. She won’t die that easily. Keep going.”

What a damn monster.

Fiona’s hands curled into fists, her chest tight with a pain she couldn’t shake.

That ache wasn't hers—it was from the original Fiona. The betrayal, the heartbreak… all of it.

Well, not anymore. From now on, she was Fiona. And everyone who wronged her? They were going to pay—big time.

“She’s fighting it!” a doctor yelled.

“Hold her down!” Ethan barked, stepping in himself to restrain her.

But Fiona wasn’t having it. She yanked her leg free and kicked off the nurse pinning her, then flipped over like a switchblade, throwing them all off.

Sitting up on the bed, her eyes narrowed, sharp and cold as she swept her gaze across the room.

Everyone—doctors, nurses—froze. Shocked and speechless.

Ethan stormed toward her, fuming. “Fiona, what the hell is wrong with you? Lie down—Lydia’s still waiting for a transfusion!”

Completely unfazed, Fiona stared at him. Her voice chilly, tinged with disdain. “And who the hell are you to decide my life’s worth less than hers?”

“Are you serious right now? If you hadn’t pushed her, she wouldn’t be in danger!” he shouted back, clearly losing it.

Fiona let out a sarcastic snort. “Wow. Did you go deaf or what? I told you. She staged the whole thing. She fell on purpose and blamed me.”

She’d said this to him over and over back in the church. Begged him to believe her. But Ethan? He never listened.

“Cut the crap! I saw it with my own eyes! You pushed her!” Ethan spat, his glare full of disgust.

Fiona shook her head. “Guess your eyes are useless after all,” she said coldly, not even trying to hide the scorn in her voice."You said what?!" Ethan Reynolds stared at her like he’d just hallucinated. Fiona Carter used to be so obedient, always nodding along to whatever he said. But just now? That didn’t sound like her at all.

Fiona slowly pushed herself off the hospital bed. She swayed a little—probably still weak from the blood loss.

Ethan’s patience was just about gone. "I’ll say it again—lie back down and behave, or I’ll send you straight to the police station. Pay the price you owe!"

She took a step closer to him, standing tall despite her pale face, calm and composed. "Didn’t believe me? I’ll make sure you do soon enough."

"Fiona! Are you deaf? Last warning, I—" Ethan didn’t get to finish. Fiona’s fist landed squarely in his stomach.

"Ugh—" Ethan doubled over in pain, groaning as he dropped to one knee. His face turned red, veins bulging at his temple.

Holy hell, that punch hurt. Since when did Fiona have that kind of strength?

By the time he looked up, she was already out the door.

Crap! She’s heading to find Lydia Collins! He had to move, fast—Lydia needed protection.

Ignoring the stabbing pain in his stomach, Ethan forced himself up and dashed after her.

Fiona reached Lydia’s VIP room, yanked the door open and locked it behind her.

"Bang, bang, bang—" Ethan pounded on the door outside, yelling through the observation window, "Fiona! Open the damn door! Don’t even think about touching Lydia! I swear, if you hurt her, I’ll make you wish you’d never been born!"

Fiona didn’t even flinch at his threats. She turned toward Lydia with steady steps.

Lydia’s face went ghost-white. Her lips had no trace of color.

"Not bad, Lydia. Your makeup’s worth a C. You barely pass," Fiona said with a half-smile.

Please, those cheap tricks? Not even close to matching her own disguise skills.

Lydia almost rolled her eyes. Seriously? This useless brat dared to mock her? What did she have besides being born into the right family?

As she ranted internally, Fiona suddenly grabbed her hand.

"Fiona... please... p-please don’t hurt the baby. Let me... let me deliver the baby first. Then... then you can do whatever you want. Just don’t hurt my baby..."

The act kicked in. Lydia’s tears streamed down like she was auditioning for a drama—absolutely pitiful.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!" Ethan was still hammering on the door, yelling non-stop.

Fiona let go of Lydia’s hand and looked down at her from the edge of the bed. "So, faking a pregnancy, huh? Knew it."

Lydia’s pupils widened in disbelief. How did she figure it out? Was Fiona checking her pulse just now?

Impossible. Fiona didn’t know a damn thing about medicine—she was sure of that.

"I don’t... I don’t know what you’re talking about. Fiona, I’m dying... who cares about me? Just save the baby. Please save us..."

Still faking it?

Fiona tilted her head with a cold smirk. "Wanna bet? Five minutes. That’s all I need to expose you completely."

As that devilish grin spread across Fiona’s face, Lydia suddenly panicked. What was she planning to do?

Before she could say anything, Fiona’s hand came down—hard—right across her face.
