The Corridor of Time Bar.

Su Ling, holding the tip her mother had earned ad hoc, was knocking at the door with a glass of water in her hand. Delivering water wasn't a big deal, yet her mum had exploited five hundred bucks out of that man for it. She was determined to return the money.

To her astonishment, the door opened as soon as she touched it.

"Sir, your friend asked me to deliver you a glass of water," Su Ling politely said at the doorstep.

The whole room was eerily silent that she felt as if no one was in there.

After waiting for about a minute and still no one responded, Su Ling pushed the door open and entered.

In the dark room, only a dim yellow wall light was on beside the bed. Following the light, Su Ling saw a man lying on the large bed not far away. As she moved closer, she almost gasped.

Wasn't this the man she encountered when delivering wine to the private room earlier?

She puckered her mouth, realizing why he had given only a five-hundred tip. The wine he and his friends ordered had already exceeded six figures. He was such a tycoon!

But upon a closer look, he was incredibly handsome. His white shirt was undone to his chest, causing Su Ling's grip on the water glass to tighten. She couldn't help but kneel down and carefully look at him from the edge of the bed. Just as she was lost in thought, a large hand suddenly swung down.

She just managed to dodge it.

Patting her heart, she realized the man on the bed didn't show any signs of waking up. Only then did she breathe a small sigh of relief.

Being caught red-handed would have been really embarrassing. Yet she couldn’t take her eyes off him, fixing her gaze on him.

Apart from this man, in her college days, she had only seen such a physique when Long Yi dust was swimming. Memories of that graceful young man filled her thoughts.

"Don't go, Leyi," the husky murmur brought Su Ling out of her reverie.

The name Le Yi was very familiar. She remembered that popular TV drama in the simmer, where she and Li Xue had groused for several days. The acting skill of the female lead was not even as good as that of the second female lead, but she still bluntly got the 'Best Newcomer Award.' However, looking at this man, it was clear how strong her background was. To her, the 'Best Newcomer Award' was just a trifle.

But what did this have to do with her? She was just there to deliver water. Su Ling wrote a few words on a post-it note and put it into the wallet on the nightstand along with the five bills. She was getting up to leave when her wrist was gripped, and she looked into a pair of black eyes.

The black eyes of Long Haotian became increasingly grim as an abnormal reddish hue was noticeable on his body. It was undoubtedly an issue with the alcohol Qi Haoxuan that rascal gave him.

"I..." Before she could finish her sentence, he had flipped over and pressed her beneath himself. In the lamplight, Su Ling saw his stunningly perfect profile; even after looking at it several times, she felt like she hadn’t seen enough, and was momentarily speechless.

Noticing he was not quite himself, she carefully asked, "Are you alright?"

His warm breath fanned her face. It tickled Long Haotian, but his astounding self-control kept him from succumbing to his own body. Yet, he felt so hot he just wanted to find an outlet to vent it properly.

It was then Su Ling noticed something was off about him and hurried to shield herself. Unfortunately, in her attempt to be careful, her move misfired, pulling her clothing down an inch, revealing a tantalizing sight.

Long Haotian's eyes filled with fire, his voice hoarse, "Woman, congratulations, you're to be my only bedmate."

Silently, Su Ling rolled her eyes. He was too narcissistic, all dressed up with nowhere to go. She had no idea delusions of grandeur could be so severe.

Regardless of her explanations, Long Haotian simply heard none. He sealed her small mouth with his lips. Su Ling, startled, raised her hand to fend him off, but he caught it in midair.

As he slowly took control, she held onto the breath he passed to her. Helped by it, she fell limply beneath him.

A pair of hands gripped her from behind and jolted her back to reality. A wave of intense humiliation filled her heart, her body trembling. She raised her hand and swung it towards him.

'Slap!' The crisp sound broke the ambiguous atmosphere, freezing the air.

A dark patch appeared on Long Haotian's handsome face. In his cold eyes, there was a hint of violence. Su Ling dared not look at the red palm print on his face. The pain on her chin forced her to look directly at him, as her distorted face reflected in his pitch-black pupils.

"Feigning to make a move, just for the thrill of it-" Long Haotian's expression changed instantaneously. The palm that was on her chin slowly tightened, "but I detest it!"

Like a tornado, Su Ling had no power to resist, her sole focus on clinging tightly to his back.

She had no idea how much time had passed when a strange sensation began coursing through her body, clutching the sheet beneath her with a vacant look in her eyes. Everything was ruined!

Tears slid slowly from the corners of Su Ling's eyes. She was ultimately not fated to be with him. Unable to think of anything else, she closed her eyes in despair and endured the humiliation in silence.

...

After a long time, Su Ling awoke groggily, feeling as if her bones had been crushed. Yet, she made no sound as she slowly sat up, gazing at chaos around her with dry, tearless eyes.

As she redressed, the pain that whispered to her reminded her of the previous night's reality, of the man on the bed who had taken everything from her!

Hatred swept through her. Su Ling wished she could tear him apart. Without him, she would have been able to still hold on to hope. Everything was his fault.

She was going to make him pay. Guided by the soft moonlight, she saw the shiny fruit knife on the table.

Decked in a sea of hatred, she spoke word by word: "Bastard, die!"

The moment her words fell, Long Haotian passed out completely. Su Ling's hand, grasping the dagger, trembled, sending her staggering backward.

Unprecedented fear swept over her. She had killed someone. What should she do?

Flee!

The only thing Su Ling could think of was to flee. She furiously pressed the elevator button, but it didn’t respond. Therefore, she bolted down the stairwell.

Looking down at the path under her feet, she bumped into someone head-on, she was snatched by Lady Monroe.

"What's all the blood on you about?"

Lowering her gaze, she realized that she had been running so hurriedly that blood had splattered onto her shirt. Su Ling swiftly hid her hand behind her back, cold sweat breaking out all over her body.

Lady Monroe gave her an ambiguous smile, it seemed that her days of bliss were not far away. After many years, the seal had been broken, and where else would this golden son-in-law of hers run off to?

"Mummy, I'm tired, I'm going to sleep now," Su Ling dared not meet her gaze, afraid that she would not be able to contain her inner fear and it would all explode out of her.

Originally, she wanted to question Su Ling about the golden son-in-law, but Su Ling had slammed the door shut with a bang.

The shower in the bathroom was turned on at full blast, Su Ling hosed herself from head to toe, scrubbing her body madly with soap. After half an hour, she was so drained that she slumped on the shower floor, the only sound in her ears was the pitter-patter of the water.

What should she do? She felt so dirty right now, and that man...

Could he really be dead? She had impulsively stabbed him, yet she didn't want to die now.

Impulsivity only lived for a moment, and only she knew how terrified she was when he passed out.

What if there was a chance he could still be saved? This thought sparked in Su Ling's mind, she quickly got dressed and took the elevator back with top speed.

She, Su Ling, dared to do and dared to admit, but if he really was dead, what should she do? Su Ling was stuck in front of the door, debating whether or not to go inside. In the end, she mustered the courage, entered the pitch-black room, her heart pounding, finally, she managed to gather up the guts to fumble for the switch slowly.
