It was the month of July.
Night had fallen in Hillwood.
The thunder in the sky was rolling, and the raindrops were like tiny pebbles showering on the woman's thin and delicate body.
Isabella Hall was dragged out of the car like a rag to the ground and she felt as if she was dying!
She lay on the ground with her neck and arms filled with bruises. She looked up at the man and woman in front of her and curled her fists. "What are you going to do to me again?!"
"Sis, the Green family wants a marriage alliance with our family, and they have their eyes on you!" Flora was wearing a pair of high heels as she looked down at Isabella and spoke clearly.
"Isabella, I'm doing this for your own good. Why did you have to hit someone with a car? We were criticized by many people in order to protect you. Now that we're in trouble, you have to make some contributions to help us!"
Theodore's usual kind voice rang out in the night, but it sounded somewhat gloomy and ruthless.
Isabella's nails dug into her palms as she gradually got up from the ground and laughed awkwardly. "Don't you feel guilty?"
"Why should I?" A trace of guilt flashed across Theodore's eyes. "This is the best way to get you out of the mental hospital. You can't possibly continue to stay there like a dead person!"
"At the banquet, it was obviously Flora..."
"Bang!"
Flora took a step forward and slapped Isabella hard on the cheek.
"Isabella, you've let us down!
You were supposed to be dead!
If it weren't for Dad, you would still be in the mental hospital. I'm asking you to be a wealthy mistress because I can't do it, so you should be happy!"
How can you be so ungrateful towards your father's kindness?"
She raised her eyebrows and said arrogantly.
Isabella tilted her head and her mouth was bleeding. She turned her face and asked, "Flora, since you're so jealous of me, why don't you get married instead?"
She had been trapped in the mental hospital for two years before she found out that everyone had thought that she was dead.
All of her properties had been transferred to her supposedly kind father and sister!
If it weren't for the fact that she had gritted her teeth and refused to tell them what her mother had left for her, Flora would have been tortured her to death!
"Your sister is doing this for your own good, so why are you still as ignorant as ever?"
Theodore pointed straight at Isabella and roared angrily.
Isabella was completely drenched as she stood in the rain. When she stared at the father and daughter duo, who were still standing safely under the umbrella, she could barely suppress her fury as she stared at them with eyes full of hatred!
She clenched her fists tightly and her gaze gradually turned murderous as she refused to say a word.
She had no means to fight against them now, but the most important thing was that she needed to survive!
She really wouldn't be able to take anything back if she died!
Flora looked at how pathetic Isabella was and felt even more pleased.
She turned her head and smiled at Theodore. "Dad, don't be sad. Isabella is still young and naive, so she'll be fine when she marries Wilson Green, the eldest son of the Green family. Besides, his younger brother, William, has promised us..."
She lowered her voice and whispered in his ear, "As long as we can destroy Wilson's name, William will invest the money into our company."
Theodore stayed silent.
He then nodded thoughtfully.
"Isn't it a good idea for Wilson to marry Isabella, the mentally ill and illegitimate daughter of the Hall family?" Flora reminded him in a faint voice, "We are forced to do this, but it's better than letting my sister rot in the mental hospital for the rest of her life!"
"You're really clever," Theodore looked up again and glanced at the bodyguards behind Isabella. "Send her to the Green family and tell Mr. William that she's our most sincere gift to him."
Isabella's face turned pale with panic when she heard this!
"No, I don't want to marry him!"
She staggered and was about to run, but she was hit hard on the back of her neck as soon as she turned around.
Her vision went black and she lost consciousness in an instant. Her frail body then crashed heavily to the ground!
Her gaze was filled with utter hatred when she fainted!
If she could make a comeback, she would make the Hall family pay for this!
......
Meanwhile, a low-profile Maybach was parked in the shadows of the night.
The tense atmosphere in the car was almost suffocating.
A man in a dark black suit was sitting in the back seat with his elbow resting on the side of the window. He looked at this scene with cold eyes and slightly curled his lips. "You don't want to marry me, do you?"
Henry Bell, who was this man's assistant and driver, shivered all over as he looked over as the woman was dragged into the car and sent to the Green family!
He felt as if this woman was going to die!
Wilson had never wanted to marry her. No matter how many traps William had set up, they were no match for Wilson!
"Then let's go to hell!" The man put out the cigarette and threw it aside casually. The sparks disappeared amidst the thunderstorm. "Find out everything about her and send it to me before I return to the Green family."
"Yes, sir."
When Henry felt the cold gaze on his neck, he immediately lowered his head and asked, "Sir, where are we going now?"
"We'll return to the Green family to pick up my dead wife."
The corner of Wilson Green's lips curved into a cold smile. Did William really think that he would be humiliated like this?
He stared at the back of the car with a dark gaze, and his cold voice was particularly striking in the dark night.
The atmosphere was extremely strange.
Henry's heart trembled as he immediately drove back to the Green family.
