"I'm sorry, Sienna. I'll have an easier time if I marry her, so..."
Sienna Clarke couldn't believe what she was hearing. She had been in love with Graham since college, and now he was telling her he was marrying someone else? She fought back the tears, determined to show him her strength. With a hint of sarcasm, she replied, "Graham Evans, you better hope your fiancée doesn't hear this. It'll only make your life more difficult. And just so you know, there are plenty of cheating men like you out there. Oh, and by the way, I'm the one who dumped you!"
Little did Sienna know, on this very day, as she stood at the entrance of a hotel adorned with balloons and flowers, she would discover that the woman Graham was marrying was her own sister, Karen Clarke. The pain in her chest was suffocating, but Sienna managed to hold back her tears. It seemed that Karen had betrayed her and seduced Graham for years, and now they were getting married.
Sienna felt a deep sense of hurt. She had loved Graham wholeheartedly for so long, and now her love for him felt cheap. Graham was marrying someone else, and Sienna wasn't the bride. It was an absurd situation that she couldn't wrap her head around. As she watched the newlywed couple step out of the luxury car, accompanied by her father and stepmother, who wore wide grins on their faces, Sienna felt like her world was collapsing.
Sienna was a policewoman, and she believed in justice. Even if it meant her own sister, she would let them have their happy ending. After all, they were the ones who had betrayed her first. But she couldn't help but feel a pang of disbelief that her ex-boyfriend had now become her brother-in-law.
As tears streamed down her cheeks, Sienna's once plump lips curled into a sneer. Graham and Karen had hurt her deeply, and as their sister, she felt obligated to attend their wedding. The hotel, known as the top-rated five-star establishment in City A, lived up to its reputation. Sienna's father, Ian Clarke, had booked the entire first-floor hall, adorned with vibrant balloons and dazzling neon lights. He had even hired an orchestra to play. The wedding was a grand affair, with many influential people in attendance.
Sienna's heart ached as she took in the lavish scene. Her father had always been generous to Karen, but he had never shown the same care and attention to Sienna, his eldest daughter. After Sienna's mother passed away, Ian remarried Emma Wood, who later gave birth to Karen. And now, Karen had even taken Sienna's boyfriend.
Sienna's eyes reddened, but she refused to let the tears fall. With a sneer on her face, she squinted at Karen, standing nearby in a snow-white wedding dress, next to Graham in a black tuxedo. Her love for them had turned into resentment. But now that they were getting married, Sienna had a grand present to give them.
A dangerous gleam sparkled in Sienna's eyes. She wasn't a bad person, but she wouldn't let others walk all over her either. Graham and Karen had betrayed her, and she would make sure they paid for the humiliation she endured.
As the host took the stage and the orchestra paused, Sienna closed her eyes, trying to suppress the pain in her heart. She couldn't cry in front of them, not now. Opening her eyes, she looked at the happy couple and her smiling father and stepmother. She clenched her fists and gritted her teeth, determined to hide her anguish.
Suddenly, the screen dimmed, and the music stopped abruptly. The audience was taken aback, unsure of what was happening. Then, the music resumed, and a new video appeared on the screen. But this time, it featured Sienna.
"I'm sorry, Sienna. I'll have an easier time if I marry her, so please forgive me."
In the video, Graham looked helpless and sincere. The crowd erupted in uproar. All eyes turned to the pale-faced Graham and Karen.
"Ian... What's... What's going on?"
Emma's smile froze, and Ian's face turned livid.
But the most exciting reaction came from the newlyweds themselves.
Sienna glanced at Graham, his face ashen, panic evident in his eyes. Karen's expression twisted into one of terror.
Sienna's smile widened. She had turned Graham's heartless words into their wedding gift. She wondered if the couple appreciated the present.
"Graham Evans! Is this why you married me? You–"
Karen was at a loss for words, consumed by anger. She was about to throw her bouquet at Graham when something even more interesting happened. The video switched to another scene, captured by a dashcam. Despite the darkness, it was clear who the woman in the car was.
The explicit scene, accompanied by moans and sighs, left no doubt that the woman was Karen.
Sienna had never felt such satisfaction before. Karen's face turned scarlet, her heavy makeup failing to conceal the shame and fear.
"Wow! How scandalous. I never expected the second daughter of the Clarke family to live such a debauched life."
"Hmph, the groom isn't any better. He married a woman like her for her wealth. They truly are a perfect match."
The room filled with whispers and judgmental glances aimed at the couple. Graham and Karen's parents looked pale as ghosts.
"Mr. and Mrs. Clarke! What is happening?! Is that really Karen? You–"
Chaos ensued in the hall. Sienna closed her eyes, feeling the pain and hatred in her heart dissipate. After a moment, she stood up and walked onto the stage. Her high heels clicked against the floor as she made her way forward, capturing everyone's attention. With a bright grin, she snatched the microphone from the host's hand and cast a cold gaze at Graham and Karen.
"My dear sister and brother-in-law, do you like the wedding gift I've given you?"
"Sienna! This is all that b*tch's doing!"
Karen's face burned with hatred. If she hadn't been in a wedding dress and heels, she would have lunged at Sienna.
"What a despicable woman! Ian, look at what your daughter has done!"
Emma's face contorted with fury as she grabbed Ian's arm, her eyes filled with a ferocity that seemed ready to consume him.
Amidst the chaos, a tall man sat silently in the VIP section below the stage, watching the spectacle unfold. His alluringly thin lips curled into a smile as he observed Sienna, captivated by her pride.
"The eldest daughter of the Clarke family, Sienna Clarke... She is an intriguing woman," he thought.
