The night bar was alive with activity. Loud music filled the air, and people were dancing, laughing, and drinking. The dim lighting created an atmosphere of mystery and intrigue, with shadows dancing across the walls and people's faces.
"I hate them, I hate everyone" Ella mumbled with a glass in her hand. She was sitting in the bar area.
Ella's eyes were barely open as she scanned the crowd around her. Everyone was having a good time, but why was she the only one feeling so sad? She looked around, searching for someone to talk to or connect with, but it seemed like there was no one there for her.
She didn't know if it was the alcohol or her own sadness that was causing her to feel this way, but tears began streaming down her cheeks.
Ella stumbled through the dimly lit corridor, her mind muddled with alcohol and heartbreak. She had been in love with Ryan for as long as she could remember, but her step-sister, Laura, had swooped in and stolen him away with a cleverly plotted scheme.
It was a betrayal that cut deep, and Ella was struggling to cope.
She had thought that drowning her sorrows in alcohol would help ease the pain, but it only served to cloud her judgment.
As she stumbled around, she felt a sudden urge to relieve herself and desperately searched for the bathroom.
In her drunken state, she stumbled into the private VIP area, where she was immediately greeted with raised eyebrows and looks of disapproval.
Embarrassed, Ella quickly turned to leave but accidentally knocked on the wrong door.
She heard a faint voice from inside, beckoning her to come in. Without thinking, she stumbled into the room, only to be met with a startling sight and find herself face-to-face with a handsome man who stood in the middle of the room, looking quite disheveled with messy hair and clothes, and his eyes appeared red.
Despite being in a drunken state, Ella could clearly see how handsome he was. He was like a valuable treasure to her.
She attempted to speak, but before she could, the man slammed her body against the cold wall and locked her lips with his own.
Ella's mind went blank as he began to trail off, placing his head on her neck and breathing heavily, causing shivers to run down her spine. It was a sensation that she had never felt before, but one that she seemed to enjoy.
As he nibbled on her earlobe, a strange feeling traveled through her stomach, and she clenched her teeth together, trying to suppress the sounds that were about to come out of her mouth.
"Please stop," she murmured, trying to control her breathing. One of his arms wrapped around her waist, pulling her closer to him, and she gasped softly as she met his striking dark eyes. Fearfully, she swallowed.
"I'm not-" she began to say, but he interrupted her with another kiss. It sent tingles down her spine and throughout her entire body, but she knew that this was wrong. She was supposed to feel disgusted by it, but she couldn't help but enjoy it.
His lips moved gently against hers, fitting together like puzzle pieces, and it was an entirely new feeling for her. Despite the position she was in, she should have been fighting it, but she wasn't.
Instead of hating the kiss, she was enjoying it, and that made her feel even more conflicted
In a moment of weakness, Ella gave in to the temptation and allowed herself to be swept up in the passion of the moment.
Before she knew it, they were kissing passionately, their bodies pressed together in a frenzy of desire. Ella knew it was reckless and foolish, but she couldn't resist the temptation of his touch.
He gently picked her up, cradling her in his arms as she held onto him tightly, her small and slender frame contrasting with his tall and muscular physique. She felt almost weightless like a little kitten being carried by its owner.
The aura he exuded was so warm and inviting, like a creamy blanket enveloping her completely. Despite her best efforts, she found herself unable to resist the allure of his touch. Before she knew it, she was lying on a soft bed, placed there by his strong and gentle hands.
The following morning, Ella awoke to find herself alone in the room. She sat up in bed, holding her head in her hand as she tried to shake off the pounding headache. Last night's events flooded back into her memory and she felt a deep sense of shame and regret. How could she have slept with a complete stranger? It was her first time, and she couldn't help but cry.
Suddenly, her phone began to ring, jolting her out of her thoughts. She wiped away her tears and searched for her phone, finding it in her bag on the bedside table. Answering the call, she heard Mia's voice on the other end.
"Ella, where are you? Do you remember what today is?" Mia's voice was urgent.
"I'm on my way," Ella replied, her voice shaking with sobs as she hung up the call. She looked around the room and noticed her clothes scattered on the floor. She quickly gathered them up and got dressed before heading to the bathroom to freshen up.
As she was about to leave the room, something caught her eye. On the pillow lay a stack of cash. Ella was stunned.
Did this man really think of her as a prostitute? Anger coursed through her veins as she clenched the money in her hand and stormed out of the room.
In the afternoon, Ella was seated at her desk in the office when her manager suddenly appeared beside her.
"Ella"
"Yes?" Ella stood up from her chair, wondering what the urgency was about.
"I need two copies of each of these files urgently," the manager said as he threw the files onto her table before heading back into his office. However, he paused at the door and added, "Oh, and everyone, get ready. Our new CEO will be here in fifteen minutes."
The announcement left everyone in the office stunned. They looked at each other, quickly realizing the need to be efficient and productive. Ella also grabbed the files and hurried toward the photocopy machine to make the required copies.
Finally, the copies were done, and Ella hurried back to her desk, hoping to blend in with the other employees and avoid any unnecessary attention.
As she sat down, she noticed that everyone was on edge, their eyes darting back and forth nervously.
They were all trying to impress the new CEO and make a good first impression.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, and the manager walked in.
"Everyone, please welcome our new CEO," he announced, motioning towards the door.
As Ella turned her head towards the door, Her heart was beating rapidly as she pivoted to face the entrance, and then he walked in.
He was a tall man wearing a Navy Blue suit, and he exuded an air of authority as he strode in with his assistant.
He was Ethan Gill, one of the most powerful businessmen in the entire country. There were many rumors about him - that he was ruthless and domineering, and that nobody dared to stand up to him. Just one of his intense gazes was enough to make people feel weak in the knees.
How could this be possible? The world can't be this small.
