In the refined and petite bourgeois café, the strong and rich aroma of coffee permeated the entire room. A romantic and languid blues tune played faintly, perfectly matched with the Sunday afternoon sunshine. With blossoming flowers, verdant plants, the ambiance was elegant and comforting, inducing a blissful relaxation.

However, in a corner of the café, a scent rather contradictory to that of the coffee filled the air-- the heavy, pungent smell of alcohol. A heavily dolled-up girl, with big curly hair, lazily leaned on the sofa, her eyelids half-drooping, looking the part of a naughty girl who had just stumbled out of a nightclub looking for a place to relax.

Balancing her head with one hand, her fingers tapped impatiently on the old-fashioned wooden table. She seemed to be waiting for someone.

Each time a person entered, they would choose a seat far away from her, trying to distance themselves as much as possible. Their eyes betrayed their disdain yet the girl just smiled faintly about it, unphased by the contemptuous glances. She sipped on her cheap bubble milk tea she had brought from outside, while breathing in the aroma of the expensive coffee.

After all, how could her blind date select such a lavish place for their meeting? Despite her mother thinking it was a wealthy suitor and instructing her to rise early to get dolled up, she felt "uneasy". She visited a beauty salon to carefully adorn herself, which made her seem out of place in the café.

Fortunately, she had thick skin and was indifferent to the glances showered at her.

Out of boredom, she watched the many faces moving past the cafe window. Outside, the sun was shining perfectly, time was fleeting and life was supposed to be like this, vibrant and wonderful.

A whole day spent trying to dodge a blind date, in a petite bourgeois romantic café meant for friends' gatherings. Here she was, Bai Roujia, waiting for a blind date with no sense of time...

Tick tock, ten minutes passed...

Great, twenty minutes passed..

Suddenly, a shadow cast upon her. The girl raised her head and a handsome face came into view; thick eyebrows, large eyes, high nasal bridge, thin lips; a typical model physique. A wrinkle-free shirt, carefully buttoned, an exquisite expensive wristwatch... just the type Wu Yiyi likes.

"Sorry, I was late due to an unavoidable issue," the man's voice was really pleasant, husky, and sexy, yet there was no hint of apology. Clearly, he was late on purpose.

Bai Roujia was now sure, Wu Yiyi, who adored men with pleasant voices, could take him. This way, Wu Yiyi wouldn’t have time to bother her, as she was busy meeting the deadlines, and formulating the next way to reject a blind date...

Bai Roujia suddenly reached out, holding the man’s right hand. Very impolite action. Bai Roujia cast a glance at his watch and then looked directly at the man, a mocking smile at the corner of her mouth, "Bulgari. Nice watch. You are precisely twenty-five minutes late."

The man frowned, seemingly dissatisfied with Bai Roujia's action. After seeing Bai Roujia’s dramatic make-up, a distasteful expression flashed through his eyes. He reluctantly pulled his hand back, maintaining his gentleman-like demeanor, and slowly sat down in front of Bai Roujia.

Bai Roujia just chuckled, not caring about his fleeting contemptuous look. She wanted this response.

"Out of courtesy, I've ordered coffee for you. This is the Kopi Luwak. I also tasted it. I don't think you'll mind since we're here for blind dating", Bai Roujia pushed the cup of coffee in front of the man, tilted her head casually, and spoke lazily. She posed akin to a weary woman of the society.
