"Madeleine Jenkins, get to Meadowview Hospital within an hour, or else..."

Madeleine felt a wave of anxiety.

"Who is that?" she asked.

The man on the other end of the line remained silent, but in the background, she could hear her cousin, Luna Knight, screaming. "Madeleine! Help me! I don't want to die!"

"Luna!" Madeleine exclaimed in alarm. "Who are you?" she demanded from the man.

"You have 59 minutes left." Those were his final words before the call ended abruptly.

Madeleine tried to call back, but the line was disconnected.

Without wasting any more time, she rushed to the central hospital.

Upon arrival, she realized that she had forgotten to ask for a specific location.

Just as she was about to approach the information desk, she noticed two tall men in black suits and sunglasses heading her way.

They positioned themselves on either side of her and said in a business-like tone, "Come with us."

Startled and anxious, Madeleine was careful to confirm their identities. "Are you the ones who called me?"

The two men didn't respond, their silence serving as confirmation.

Madeleine was concerned about Luna's safety. "Where is my cousin? Is she safe? Who are you? Luna is a timid person who has never engaged in any illegal activities. Are you sure you haven't mistaken her for someone else?"

The two men in black maintained their silence.

A wave of increased panic washed over Madeleine.

Luna worked as a nurse at Meadowview Hospital.

Luna was abducted and Madeleine was taken into the elevator from the hallway by force, but there was no security guard present to intervene. It was evident that the person who kidnapped her held a position of power and influence.

"Oh my goodness, based on my analysis and assessment of the situation, he must be someone of significant authority, perhaps even the mafia boss." Madeleine thought.

Could it be that Luna failed to save the person, prompting the other party to resort to creating chaos at the hospital and wiping out the entire family?

In a mere dozen seconds of being inside the elevator, Madeleine's mind had already conjured up countless scenarios of her demise.

She was escorted to the entrance of the operating room upon stepping out of the elevator.

Filled with anxiety, the man caught sight of her in the corridor and hurriedly approached, his voice trembling with desperation. He held her hand tightly as if she was his last hope. "Miss Jenkins, you've arrived at last! Please, hurry and save Ernie! If you can rescue him, I'm willing to devote myself to you!"

Madeleine, "..."

She retracted her hand and stepped back. "Who are you..."

Before she could finish her words, her gaze lifted and met the captivating face of the man before her.

The esteemed and high skilled celebrity, Hector Marshall.

F*ckkk!

Madeleine was in disbelief. She wondered why Hector, a man of such high stature, was here, especially since she was just a lesser-known actress.

And he had even proposed marriage!

Confused, she reached out and lightly touched Hector's forehead, murmuring, "He doesn't have a fever."

Then why was he talking nonsense?

"Madeleine..." Luna's weak voice echoed distressingly.

Madeleine turned to see Luna standing in the corridor. She looked frightened but unharmed.

Relieved, Madeleine then noticed the man sitting in the family waiting area. His tailored suit highlighted his broad shoulders and slim waist, while his deep-set eyes radiated a cold aura.

She instinctively knew this was the man who had just spoken to her.

The man, emanating an air of aristocracy, spoke succinctly. "Miss Jenkins, my son shares the same rare blood type as you. The hospital's blood bank is running low, and I urgently request your help to save him."

He looked up at her. "If you can save my son, I am willing to offer you a token of gratitude amounting to 10 million dollars..."
