In the year I turned eighteen, I stained my hands with human life, forcing me to flee to a distant land.

To survive, I made my living at the biggest club in Shen City, where many men had taken liberties with me, calling me a dirty whore.

But I wasn't dirty, my innocence still intact.

In order to preserve this innocence, I took many beatings. The worst instance resulted in two of my ribs being broken, saved in the end by Jia Ming.

He had his head blown open, bleeding more than me.

I had no particular fondness for him, as he was a bouncer at the club, often goofing off and flirting with the hostesses.

However, he saved my life, even borrowing twenty-thousand in high-interest debt to pay for my medical bills, despite refusing treatment for his own injuries.

Unable to repay him, after being discharged from the hospital, I stripped naked at his place.

He swallowed hard and turned his face away to light a cheap roll of tobacco, "Bai Yue, be my woman."

I thought he wanted me to be his girlfriend, little did I know the next day he would take me to get a marriage certificate.

That night, he took me many times.

While savoring the tears that rolled down my cheeks, he passionately said, "Bai Yue, a woman is destined to hurt for a man once, remember the man who caused you pain is me."

After our marriage, we continued working at the club. By a stroke of luck, he became the head of security and gradually grew favored by the boss.

Naturally, as his fortunes rose, so did mine. I transitioned from bartending to being a life assistant for several of the club's main hostesses.

These hostesses were the boss's women. They frequently took me out to sea to have fun with the boss.

Our bleak life seemed to have taken a turn.

Half a year later, I found myself pregnant, over the moon with joy.

But when Jia Ming heard the news, he seemed dejected, and after smoking a pack of cigarettes, he said to me, "Bai Yue, I will send you back to your hometown."

I wanted to stay with him, but I also knew that the nightclub environment was terrible, it's not a place for a child to be born.

So I had no choice but to agree with him.

That night, he made love to me extremely tenderly again and again, repeatedly calling my name, his voice was lingering and mournful.

I was immersed in our lovemaking, unaware of his unusual behavior.

So everything that happened afterwards came as a complete surprise to me.

The next day, he took off the jade pendant that he had always worn around his neck and gave it to me. He held me in his arms for a long time, until the bus driver had to rush us repeatedly, then he finally let go.

"Live well."

That was the last thing he said to me.

A fortnight later, Jia Ming's younger brother suddenly burst into my home. He was covered in blood, grabbing my wrist and insisting that I go with him.

Clutching my stomach, I asked him what had happened.

Just as the words left my mouth, there was a gun shot from behind. His younger brother instantly fell down upon the sound.

I was pulled to the ground by him. My lower abdomen hit his knee, and I was sweating with pain.

"Ming Ge is dead, killed by Lord Owl," the youngster gushed out, blood spurting from his mouth as his teeth and chin bathed in a ghastly red.

My soul seemed to be yanked out, my head pounding as if the entire world had disappeared before my eyes.

The gunshot echoed again, and I fell to the ground.

When I woke up, the child was gone, everything was gone.

Those were the toughest times in my life, as if I was torn and stripped bare, living was worse than dying.

As I was about to throw myself into the sea, I suddenly remembered Jia Ming's words, "Live well."

He was the only person in this world who was good to me, I loved him, and I vowed to avenge him!

Resting for a month, I returned to Shen City, and after careful inquiry, I found out that the nightclub boss had been betrayed, the nightclub had been raided by the police, and the boss was also dead.

They pinned this disaster on Jia Ming’s head.

The boss was one of Lord Owl's men, so Lord Owl ordered people to encircle and suppress Jia Ming.

I heard that the death of Jia Ming was tragic, his face unrecognisable from several axe blows, and his corpse was given to dogs as a feast.

Every time I closed my eyes, I saw the face of Jia Ming twisted in pain, my heart lacerated by sorrow.

I sold everything in my home, even sold my blood at the hospital, and raised thirty thousand yuan.

I went to the hospital for plastic surgery.

By the end of the year, I appeared in the Lan Zhou, the top private club of Shen City, with a brand new face.

I danced, walked the runway, accompanied men over drinks, my reputation increasingly growing, finally attracting the attention of Boss Owl.

His men brought me into a private room.

People say that Boss Owl is unpredictable, cold-blooded, and ferocious, but I know that he is a man, and no matter how tough, he cannot resist the allure of beauty.

So, when the door was pushed open, I purposely lowered my coli, revealing my round and tender peaks.

But to my surprise, the moment I entered, a bloody severed arm flew onto my face.

I was terrified, and saw a man lying not far away, his blood quickly spreading beneath him, and he was groaning with listless awareness.

The intense smell of blood darted into my nostrils, and I couldn't help but feel nauseous.

"Let Heizi out." Before my brain had time to react, I heard a gloomy male voice coming from the sofa not too far away.

This must be Boss Owl; no other voice carries such fatal oppression.

Soon after, a huge Tibetan mastiff walked towards the wounded man, wagging its tail, stuck out its blood-red tongue, and began to rip and lick the man's flesh. The man screamed, each scream more miserable than the last.

These screams catalyzed the fear in my heart, as if an invisible hand was gripping my throat.

I was leaning on the wall, dry-heaving, over and over.

"Do you object?" The speaking man slowly approached me, his voice low but overwhelmingly intimidating.

I looked up and clearly saw his face, just a glance was like being struck by thunder, and my astonished eyes couldn't look away.

He looks exactly like my Jia Ming!
