Yana Fink was having a nightmare. In the nightmare, there was a man!
She felt stifling and burst into tears. "Go away... Don't touch me!"
Her struggling hands brushed past the man's cheek. But the next second, her hands hit on empty air.
The person in front of her suddenly disappeared, leaving only the sore pain all over her body tormenting her.
Yana woke up with a startle. When she opened her eyes, she saw the crystal chandelier hanging on the ceiling. Everything around her was still the decoration that she was familiar with.
Was it a dream?
She got up, gasping for air. Suddenly, she felt a tearing pain.
She lifted the quilt to take a look, and she was immediately petrified by what she saw!
What, what was going on?
She was sleeping soundly in her own home, but how come she was violated by a man?!
"Margaret!" Yana quickly put on her clothes and ran downstairs, just in time to meet the nursemaid, Margaret Sanders, who was cleaning in the living room.
Margaret turned off the vacuum cleaner in her hand and looked at Yana in surprise. "I'm here. What's wrong, Madam?"
"Did you see any strangers upstairs this morning? Someone, someone seemed to have entered my room!" Yana's face was pale. She could not help but tremble at the thought of what had happened in her dream.
"Someone broke in?"
Margaret hurriedly put the things in her hand aside and quickly walked to her front. "Madam, perhaps you're imagining things? I got up early this morning to prepare breakfast. But I didn't notice anything out of ordinary at all."
"No!" She was about to cry. "Margaret, can you please follow me upstairs to have a look? There is truly someone else's here! That person—"
"Margaret, the throat lozenges at home are almost gone. Try and find time to go buy some." A sudden voice and the sound of a door closing came from the wine cabinet.
Yana was stunned. She was able to recognize that voice instantly.
Turning around in shock, what came into her sight was a man in a white shirt coming from the side hall with a bottle of red wine in his hand. He casually adjusted the collar of his shirt, and his fascinating collarbone could be faintly seen.
As if he did not hear the conversation between her and Margaret just now, Cole Lowe went over to the counter to grab a wine glass and poured himself a glass of red wine.
"When did you come back? You, why are you here?!" Yana widened her eyes. She never thought that she would see him at this time!
She had only seen him twice in the past three years.
The first time was during their wedding, and the second time would be now.
She took a deep breath and suddenly remembered that this villa belonged to him. It was just that in the past three years, he was never home, so she gradually forgot this fact!
"Oh, dear! Excuse my bad memory." Margaret patted her forehead and explained awkwardly, "Madam, I forgot to tell you just now. Sir had just come back last night, and I had wanted to notify you."
"He came back last night?" Yana was dumbfounded and suddenly realized something. "He came back last night?! Then the person I dreamt of last night—"
Oh god! The person in her dream last night was Cole!
She was in a daze and had thought that it was a dream. She did not have any strength to resist and actually had a relationship with him just like that?!
"Madam, you told me that there's a stranger at home... You, you're not referring to Mr. Lowe, right?"
Margaret asked a question after she had a guess.
"Margaret, I wasn't fully awake yet just now." Yana turned around embarrassedly and did not dare to look at the man's expression.
What on earth was Margaret thinking by asking these questions in front of him!?
As she was thinking about how to obscure this matter, she heard steady footsteps from behind her.
The man's deep husky voice sounded, "Margaret, why don't you head out now to buy some throat lozenges?"
"Okay, sir."
Margaret still did not fully understand the whole situation, so she took off the apron and went out.
Soon, only two persons were left in the huge living hall.
Cole lowered his head and looked at the flickering eyes of the little woman in front of him. His face darkened when he saw that she looked as if she was pondering about a way to escape him.
He clearly heard what she had said to Margaret just now.
This woman had obviously forgotten about his existence.
