In Howard Empire Group.
"Boss." Payton Colon walked into the office and went behind the man standing in front of the French window.
The office was on the 68th floor. Its position offered a commanding view of the city.
Alfonso Howard had his hand in his pocket and a glass in the other, looking elegant and uninhibited. His deep eyes gazed out of the window. "How'd it go?" Gently shaking the glass, he spoke with an unwilling calmness, as if he had already known the answer.
"I traced that woman to a female doctor in the hospital. But the female doctor had quit her job three years ago and went abroad for further study. It's said that she will return soon." Payton checked the information in his hand and frowned again.
"It's been six years." Alfonso gulped down the wine. His tone expressed his frustration to the fullest.
He once believed that it was a piece of cake to find a woman with his ability.
But six years of failure was like a slap in his face.
Payton knew how he felt and was ashamed of botching the job.
At the same time, a private plane was landing steadily in the Airport.
The plane landed on the exclusive runway. A woman walked from the cockpit to the cabin, carrying a boy on her shoulder.
Jeffery Vance complained. "Mommy, can't you be a little more elegant?" Who else would think he was handsome if he was on his mom's shoulders?
Besides, why did she act so rudely when she looked so gentle?
"Like what?" Larissa calmly got off the plane without changing her posture.
"You can hold me instead." He could walk by himself and didn't want her to be tired.
"I forgot my rope." Larissa Vance looked serious.
"Forget I said anything." He didn't want to talk anymore, or she might actually give him a leash.
After leaving the airport, they went straight home.
Larissa immediately went to the kitchen to make a great meal, while Jeffery went to his room and played with the computer.
Larissa was a genius in mechanical design, and her son had her IQ.
Jeffery stared at the photo of a man who looked like a grown-up version of him, and frowned at the man's profile.
Not only did he irresponsibly knock up Mommy, but he fell in love with another woman?
Jeffery rolled his eyes. If his so-called father was in love, why couldn't he get Mommy a romantic relationship?
His original plan was to find this irresponsible man and make him responsible for Mommy. Now he felt that even if this man married Mommy for him, Mommy might not be happy.
This man didn't deserve Mommy.
His tiny fingers raced across the keyboard, trying to convince the man that missing Larissa was the greatest loss of his life.
His mommy was talented not only in mechanical design, but also in jewelry design. The two industries seemed so disconnected that he, like everyone else, wondered why she was able to shine in both. But he was not the one who created this genius, so his grandma might have the answer.
After scanning the design, he emailed it to someone. The "send successfully" tip slightly raised the corners of his mouth.
After that, he snapped up two tickets for a violin recital. As the saying goes, if you know yourself and your enemy, you'll never lose a battle.
He was not gonna let his mommy compete with others for a man. That was beneath her.
His mommy could do anything herself but having sex. He wanted men to go crazy over her and compete for a spot in bed with her.
After a while, he got an e-mail in reply.
"Let's meet and the salary is negotiable."
"That's it?" Jefery was dissatisfied with the reply and quickly turned the page off.
Pity is gonna be what you get!
Because the opportunity doesn't negotiate with you!
Jeffery was really annoyed. Why was he this arrogant man's son? Did he really get his cuteness, temperament, and intelligence from him? This was unreasonable!
After calming himself down, he told himself that a man who loved someone else didn't deserve Mommy, even though he was Daddy.
