Luke was a normal teenager who wants a simple and normal life. But tonight, his dreams vanished. His boss fired him, maybe because of him being a failure at work. Because of that, considered himself as a bad boy. Bad at everything. Failure at everything. All this things sums up how he lived for the past years.

He absent-mindedly went out of the convenience store he was working at. The only thing that was running on his mind was finding a new job. Finding a new job is a must in order for him to sustain his daily needs. He only lived by himself. No one to depend on. Without any support. Without any companion.

His parents died when he was ten. His neighbors said that the both of them died because of a car accident. He was young back then so, he don't have any clue what happened. The only thing he knew, they left him all alone. All alone in this cruel world.

On his way home, he passed by a group of teenagers. All of them are laughing. All of them are enjoying the moments of their teenage years. He faked a laugh because of what he saw. He wished that he could also experience those things.

When he arrived at his apartment, he immediately lay down and dreamt his escape from this world.

He was running away from a large ferocious beast. He ran endlessly towards nowhere. While running, the beast accelerated, coping up with his speed. The beast was about to kill him but, his knight in shining armor appeared. The way his hero slashed the beast, it was amazing and at the same time, hot. After eliminating the beast, his hero walked towards his direction. Hypnotizing violet eyes lured him into it's den. He was about to kiss him but, a loud bang interfered that shattered his dream.

Luke's eyes opened to morning. His dream vanished from his eyes. Not a single hero. Not a single kiss.

He immediately stood up from his bed and made his daily routine. He checked his features, checking if something was not in place. His grey eyes was now deep, maybe because of him being overworked. His black hair was now long, covering his eyes. It's green highlights was now faded. All in all, he looked so stressed.

After his routine, he lay down again. He remembered that his boss fired him, so he doesn't have anything to do. He blankly stared at the ceiling, hoping that ideas would flow.

While staring at the ceiling, he suddenly remembered his dream. The way his hero was depicted, it was fascinating and unbelievable at the same time. He wanted to live the dream he dreamt, even though it was impossible.

An idea popped into his head. He stood up and went to his study table. He opened the laptop his parents gave him before that accident. That was the only possession that he couldn't sell, maybe because of it's personal values. That was the only gift his parents gave him before they left. The memory inside it was too precious to let go.

He opened the writing app and started his own novel. Writing a story was one of his stress and sadness outlet. He wrote down all his frustrations and as well as his dreams. And what he dreamt awhile ago, the feeling he received, those things should be part of his novel.

While writing, he imagined himself as the main character. He wrote down his dream life story. He carefully described his characters up to the love interest. He wanted him to be perfect. Yes, him. Since he was young, he knew that girls weren't his type. He wanted a man for himself. He wanted a man to care and love him for who he was. And he could only experience those things by writing because it was impossible for him to find a guy that would love him for who was he.

He designed his characters from head to toe. From his enemy to his love interest. He named his love interest as Cairo Zyaire Jimenez. A higher class vampire who owns a violet hypnotic eyes. Cairo was young, seductive, sexual, and alluring. Luke laughed because of that thought. He chuckled after imaging his features. He felt something inside him. Something unexplainable.

He realized that his story would be a bore if there won't be any thrill. He added a new character. This time, he made a werewolf character and named him Ravyn Kylen Hernandez. Ravyn was the son of the Head Chief of the Kingdom. Tall and much more masculine than Cairo. Ravyn's golden eyes was one of his best assests. An approachable and independent one. Luke smiled because of the thought of Ravyn and Cairo fighting over him. How he wished that those things would be real.

He wrote down the story he wanted to have. All the things he wanted to experience, He wrote it down. Even the smallest detail. He wrote it down. He felt that his cheeks were now blushing because of imagining those thoughts. He felt like he was in cloud nine. He was about to finish the novel but, realizations hit him. The story he made was so unrealistic. The story won't be possible. The story wont be real. Maybe because of those reflections, he killed the main character. Tragic endings somehow depicts the reality though. Harsh and painful.

He closed his eyes and calmed himself. A single tear was now visible on his face. He realized that life was too harsh for him to experience his fantasies. Not a single possibility. Not a single chance.

He went out from apartment and headed to the nearest park. He wanted to refresh his mind. Away from all the things that would tear his mind apart. He wanted a simple piece of mind.

When he reached the park, he immediately sat down at nearest bench. He stared at the people around him. All of them are happy. All of them are with someone to lean on. All of them do have family members on their side. All those things he couldn't have.

He studied the flowers and butterflies around him. If only he was as free as those living things, he would be happy. He would be contented.

Little did he know, someone was watching his every move. Claws and salivating mouth ready to attack him. Someone with red blood eyes.

Someone like the beast from his dream.
