In a ward of the hospital of Sea City, Dylan Lim slowly woke up.
Feeling confused, he heard a nurse talking to a woman.
"Your husband is lucky to be alive after having been floating in the sea for so long."
"How is he doing now? Will he wake up? Will he suffer any aftereffects?" Asked the woman.
"We have done all the body checks on him. He should be fine. It's just that he might have hurt his head," said the nurse.
Hearing this, the woman asked with an air of aversion, "Does that mean he will be retarded? He was already good-for-nothing. If he becomes retarded, I will have to support him for the rest of my life!"
The nurse immediately left, with her words echoed in the air, "You can see for yourself when he wakes up."
Just then, Dylan also sat up slowly, feeling pain all over from head to toes. When he tried to recall what had happened, he suddenly realized that he seemed to have forgotten everything.
"You are awake. Why didn't you die? Why aren't you dead since you had the guts to run away from home?" Seeing that Dylan woke up, the woman said indifferently with her arms crossed over her chest and her look displeased.
Dylan took a look at this woman and found that she was gorgeous, whose figure was tall and whose face was exquisite without a single flaw. Wearing an office outfit with a wine-red suit, a hip skirt, black stockings, and high heels, she looked stunning.
"You have mistaken me for someone else. I don't know you," Dylan's temper was not good either, and he replied casually. Although he had lost his memory, he was sure that he was not married, let alone having a wife.
"You don't know me? You depended on me to live. Now you told me you don't know me?" The woman snorted, "I admired that you had the guts to commit suicide, but now it seems that you are still a good-for-nothing as usual."
"What now? I got you gaped?" Seeing that Dylan did not say anything, she thought that he bent and said impatiently, "If there's nothing else, you need to go home with me quickly. A bunch of things is waiting for you to do."
Dylan didn't say anything else, obediently changed his clothes, and prepared to leave with the woman. Anyway, he had already lost his memory. Without a clue, he needed the woman's help.
Seeing that Dylan was finally obedient, the woman left temporarily to do the discharge procedure for him.
Dylan changed his clothes and sat in a daze in the ward. Just as he was bored, many people walked in quickly, pushing a sickbed together.
"My daughter! Hold on! You'll be fine. You'll be fine," A man, who was in his forties, almost cried out.
"Doctor, wasn't the operation going well? Why does my daughter still look sick?" It was polite of the man to say that because anyone sane could see that the girl on the sickbed was dying.
"The operation went well. Next, we need to observe," The doctor was a little guilty when he spoke.
"That's bullsh*t!" The father of the girl couldn't help swearing after hearing the doctor's words, "You are all useless! If anything bad happens to my daughter, I will make sure that the whole hospital will suffer as well! When we first came here, you said that she only got a little cold. But she is dying now! What's the purpose of a hospital with a bunch of useless doctors !"
Dylan couldn't help but be curious and carefully walked up to take a look. He saw a girl who was young and pretty and about fifteen or sixteen years old, lying on the hospital bed. She should have looked dynamic in her early puberty, but now her face was as pale as a piece of white paper......
"Sir, please go back to your sickbed and don't stay here," A nurse noticed Dylan and immediately spoke.
Her words drew everyone to glance at Dylan. However, when they saw his ordinary appearance, they turned their gazes away.
Dylan ignored the nurse. Patting the girl's father on the shoulder, he said, "Man, I can cure your daughter."
Although he didn't remember anything, for some reason, he had the confidence that he could save this girl.
"You?" The man turned around and looked at Dylan with his face filled with disbelief.
Dylan nodded and said, "Time waits for no man. Your daughter's life is in dire danger. If you wait another 20 minutes, even the gods will not be able to save her."
The middle-aged man was a little hesitant for a moment, but the doctor interrupted, "Sir, please don't make more trouble here, okay? You are not a doctor here. If you continue to talk nonsense to deceive people here, I can call the police to arrest you."
Dylan didn't mind the doctor at all. He looked at the father of the girl. It was up to him to decide.
The middle-aged man was desperate to save his daughter, "How are you going to treat her? What does my daughter have?"
Dylan replied, "Just some typhoid Qi. Because she is too young, her body can not heal itself, and her internal organs are damaged. I'll give her a little massage on her back, and it'll be fine."
"Is it that easy?"
"I'll massage her back, and she will be better in three minutes. If you don't allow me to do it, she would die within 20 minutes. With due respect, I don't think you have any other choice," Dylan said as he stretched his back lazily.
"Please do it!" The child's father was decisive, "If you can cure her, I will give you a villa that's halfway up the mountain! If you fail, I will send you to death!"
"You got it!" Dylan smiled and sat down beside the girl's bed as he spoke.
