Camile Anderson held onto her little boy and daughter by her side with care even though she was quivering with fear as the fire department raided their house to stop the humongous fire from spreading. Praying silently with the rosary clutched in her right hand, she looked down at her 10-year old daughter who looked terrified beyond repair and her heart shattered into a thousand pieces.
It was caused by the oven they said but deep down Camile knew it was no damn oven. It broke down few days ago and she contacted the technical store to send in an attendant, it was going to take a while they said and now the fire chief was bringing the report of it being the cause of her house burning down right in front of her eyes.
‘This was no accident chief you have to believe me', her voice was hoarse from all the crying, ‘This was no damn—'
‘The situation has been assessed and we've done the best we can Mrs Anderson', The chief muttered and glanced over at the little girl who remained silent and just kept dead staring at the burning house, ‘She's going to need a therapist.....you should focus on that instead of making baseless assumptions'.
Camile wasn't ready to let him go just yet, ‘Look you don't und....you don't...you... you don't understand.... someone burnt my house down!'.
‘Goodnight ma'am'. He blatantly ignored her plea and dubbed his hat as he walked off to give a report to the police department.
Camile sighed deeply as she slowly turned the head of her daughter away from the demolished house to face their neighbor's instead, she crouched low and placed a kiss on her forehead all still holding onto her baby boy with her other arm, ‘.... Don't worry Mikayla, it's all going to be okay'.
