"Let's get a divorce," Gisella Piras looked at the man that sat opposite her, who was so flawlessly attractive that he could make all the girls swoon, but Gisella felt disheartened.
Manfred Amato was the most popular man among women in Lumbaland. He was mysterious, distinguished, and handsome.
Unfortunately, it was destined that this man would not be hers.
She had done everything she could in their three years of marriage but she still couldn't obtain his compassion.
Three years later, Gisella finally had enough and she decided to give up on him.
"Let's get a divorce, I'll set you free and from now on, we're done," Gisella said while she bore the pain in her chest and never looked at him.
Manfred was expressionless and he stayed silent for a moment. Then, he picked up the pen and signed the paper.
After that, he stood up and left casually. The girls in the cafe stared at his tall and handsome figure as if they were in a trance.
He was always like this and he remained undisturbed regardless of what she did.
In that case, she should just let him go even though it would be extremely painful and heartbreaking.
Gisella walked out of the cafe and then her cell phone rang.
"Sis," she picked up the phone and bit her lips before saying in a low voice. "I listened to your advice and asked him to sign the divorce agreement."
"Did you really sign it?" There was a hidden hint of excitement and joy in Giada Piras' voice.
Gisella frowned and was a little confused, "I signed it... you..."
"Hahaha, Gisella, you actually divorced Manfred. Hahaha you idiot!"
"Sis, what do you mean?" Gisella tightened her brows and felt slightly uneasy.
"I don't mean anything. Of course, I'm happy! I can finally be with Manfred now since you have divorced. Why wouldn't I be happy?"
Giada, who was standing on the roof of the opposite building, laughed so hard that she could hardly breathe. "Why do you think Manfred has been indifferent to you all this time?"
"Why?" Gisella held the phone tightly and she unknowingly walked on the main road.
"Because he always believed that you were the one who caused his brother's death. Do you think that he would ever treat you nicely?"
"I didn't!" Gisella retorted anxiously, "Matteo's death has nothing to do with me. It's... it's you?"
Suddenly, Gisella's eyes widened and she finally came to her senses. "It's you! Giada, you're the one who did it!"
"So what? Are you going to tell Manfred? Unfortunately, it's too late." Giada laughed wickedly and her maniacal laughter was terrifying.
"I won't let you go! Giada Piras, you've been pretending all this time and you've been lying to me!" Gisella hated that it was too late when she realized the truth.
"I'm afraid you won't have a chance." Giada stared down at the slender figure on the street and her thin lips curved into a cruel smile. "Look to the left."
Gisella did it. However, a loud crash suddenly happened just as she turned her head.
She could feel excruciating pain throughout her entire body.
She seemed to suspend in midair for a moment before she fell to the ground after she collided with the truck.
Her past flashed across her mind vividly like a movie reel.
She was obsessed with Manfred for her whole life, but she couldn't get even a hint of warmth and affection from him.
"If I had the chance to live a second life, I wouldn't choose to love you. I would never fall for a man like you, never..."
Gisella closed her eyes slowly.
She couldn't see that the handsome young master of the Amato family had rushed out from the crowd and picked up her blood-soaked body.
Also, she never had the chance to witness the warmth in his eyes.
What's more, in the place where he should've signed his name on the divorce agreement that fell from her bag, he had written these words instead... "Unless I die!"
Gisella's body became cold gradually and her last breath dissipated into the air...
