In A City.
At the entrance of a hospital that looked cozy and comforting.
As the night enveloped the place in darkness, a row of low-profile and luxurious black cars shrouded with mystery slowly came stopped.
"Mr Edric, we've arrived at the hospital," a person called softly, his tone reverent and respectful.
The door of the back seat opened, and a tall and slender leg came out.
Surrounded by a group of well-trained subordinates, Sanders Edric slowly stepped inside the hospital gate.
In the pharmacy.
Aven Clemens was in a hurry, putting the alcohol, gauze, hemostatic, scissors, and other things on the tray, trying not to drop any of them, before she ran outside.
Aven was a freshman in the nursing department at the University of Medicine of A City. Today was the third day of her summer vacation, as well as the second day of her internship in that cozy hospital. She cherished this internship opportunity very much.
A mysterious and distinguished patient came to the hospital ten minutes ago.
Although he suffered from a mere superficial wound, the whole department was still nervous and tense to the point of insanity, and even the director was alarmed.
"Head Nurse, I've brought the things!"
Wearing a pink nurse uniform, Aven rushed to the ward's door with a tray in her hands and handed it over to the head nurse.
The head nurse took a deep steady breath. She was about to enter the ward to bandage the patient's wound when she was stopped by a man in black standing at the door.
The man in black looked like he was in his twenties. He was wearing sunglasses and had a serious, stern look on his face. People were intimidated just by looking at him, shuddering in fear.
The man's eyes swept over the faces of several young nurses. Then, he raised his hand and pointed at Aven. "You, get inside!"
Aven's pretty and delicate face twisted in astonishment. Her dark eyes widened in an instant, and she pointed at the tip of her nose in surprise. "Me?"
The man nodded indifferently. "Yes, you!"
It wasn't just Aven; all of the medical staff presents were shocked.
Aven had been in that hospital for the internship for just two days. She trembled with fear as she bandaged kitten's and puppies' wounds. Aside from that, the patient seemed to have a lot of influence.
What if the wound wasn't treated properly...
Not only was she in danger, but everyone would face serious consequences.
The director smiled and said, "This young nurse has just arrived. She doesn't have much experience. I'm afraid she won't treat the patient right. Let's get someone else to do it, what do you think?"
Jadeyn, who was also wearing a nurse's uniform, pursed her lips and decided to volunteer. "I'll do it."
After all, she was a few years older than Aven, and she had been training here for a longer period, and she had better technique. She was definitely more suitable to do it.
Aven listened to Jadeyn and knew that Jadeyn was doing this to protect her. An indescribable sense of gratitude warmed her heart.
However, as soon as Jadeyn took a step forward, the man grabbed her shoulder in a firm grip, holder her back.
The man stared fixedly at Aven. There was a hint of firmness on his blank expression as if he had already made up his mind on her.
After a moment of silence, Aven bit her lip and chose to compromise at last.
"... I'll go!"
A row of young men in black suits and sunglasses were standing at the door. She was afraid that if she didn't go, they would force her into the room.
She just didn't understand why such a distinguished, mysterious, and dangerous person chose to let her, an inexperienced intern nurse, to treat his would.
She did not know if she was in danger or not.
As Jadeyn passed by her, she stealthily pulled at the hem of Aven's clothes, as if she was silently encouraging her.
Even though she was extremely nervous, Aven still managed to squeeze out a faint smile, telling her not to worry.
The door of the ward opened, and Aven was pushed inside the room.
The door was slammed shut, blocking out the light inside the ward. Her stifled and nervous breathes and the darkness engulfed her. She had no idea what to do.
The easiest way to scare someone is to put them in a dark unfamiliar environment.
Especially if the other party was a mysterious and dangerous person.
Aven was a little nervous, and her palms were sweating. She plucked up her courage and said, "Sir, I'm here to treat your wound. Can you turn on the light?"
The girl asked gently and cautiously, her voice was soft and sweet.
A low and cold voice replied from the other side of the ward. "Come here!"
It was as if this voice was coming from the depths of hell, and seemed to be holding back something. A chill ran down her spine.
Her eyes adapted to the dark environment. She walked step by step towards the direction of the hospital bed, guided by the moonlight shining faintly inside the ward. Every step she took made her tremble with fear.
When she was three meters away from the hospital bed, Aven stopped. She stammered and asked, "Sir, where... where were you wounded?"
Why didn't he turn on the light? Was he planning on letting her treat his wound in the dark?
Oh, no. This just makes things even more difficult. Was she bound to die today?
Aven felt like weeping but her eyes were dry, no tears coming out.
The man's voice was low and cold. "How will you treat my wound when you are so far away?"
Even though she couldn't see the hospital bed, Aven could still sense that his heated gaze was watching her attentively.
He was like a demon hiding in the dark, ready to pounce and tear her to shreds at any moment.
Even though she was scared to death, Aven still forced herself to move forward. Once again, she said fearfully, "Sir..."
Before she finished her sentence, a sudden force attacked her. With a bang, the tray in her hand fell to the ground, making an ear-piercing sound in the otherwise quiet room.
Aven was frozen in place.
Should she blame herself for not being able to hold onto the tray firmly, or should she blame this man for his sudden attack?
Her heart beat wildly. She was just thinking of bending down to try and pick up the things on the ground in the darkness when the man on the hospital bed spoke. "Take it off."
What? Was this about the tray?
When the tray fell to the ground, he must have been shocked. Was he angry?
Aven did not have time to react. She was at a loss for what to do.
"Take it off!"
Suddenly, there was something cold and hard pressing against her lower back. His low and cold voice came closer to her ears. She could even clearly feel his hot breath.
He wanted...
He wanted her to take off her clothes?
Wasn't he injured?
However, here he was, standing behind her, strong and healthy, pressing a gun against her and telling her to undress...
Wait! She was here to bandage his wound. Why did he want her to undress?
The sound of guns being loaded could be heard clearly in the quiet ward.
It was the first time she had encountered a situation like that. Her eyes were wide open and filled with panic. She almost fell to the ground out of fear.
"Take off your clothes. I will not repeat myself." His voice was low and hoarse, revealing a bloodthirsty killing intent. He pressed the gun closer to her back as if he was ready to shoot at any moment.
She understood what the man meant. Although she was filled with anger and humiliation, in the face of danger, she couldn't resist at all.
Aven held out her hand, shaking with fear.
It was the first time that Aven took off her clothes in front of a stranger. She felt an unprecedented sense of humiliation. She bit her lip tightly as her fingers trembled.
When she took off the pink nurse uniform, a white gown was revealed. Aven's hands stopped moving involuntarily.
The man pressed the ice-cold gun against her lower back even more. His voice was low and dangerous, with a coldness that made it clear that he would not be denied anything. "Go on!"
Her whole body trembled. She extended her hand behind her back and unzipped her gown with difficulty. Her plain white gown fell to the floor, leaving only three-pointed undergarments on her body...
